I am watching the Stanford USC game and I just realized that I went to high school with the starting OLB for Stanford. His name is Trent Murphy and he is 6'6" 261 lbs. He started all 13 games last year and had 6.5 sacks and 10 tackles for loss.
He is someone to keep an eye on as Whis likes his OLBs to have size. The average size of the teams outside backers are 6'3" 260. Schofield is the smallest at 6'3" 242. _________________

Michigan vs Notre Dame should be good but I'll be busy so I can't watch it. Keep your eye on Taylor Lewan. He's getting some comparisons to Jake Long and has a legitimate LT skill set. He also grew up in Arizona so it'd be cool if he ended up here. |

Legitimate LT huh?
Well then, that's the game I'll be watching. _________________

Yeah very long arms, quick off the snap, and agile in open space. Add to that he's got a nasty streak and even with his thin frame, he gets a great push in the run game. Simply put, he's got the agility to play in a zone blocking scheme but I think his ability to drive defenders back would make him a great fit for out OL. In the pass game, he uses his long arms to latch on to defenders and just doesn't seem to let go. Of course he has a downside though. He's got to work on his technique. Sometimes his feet just stop moving and he's all arms. He also tends to miss people in open space but it's a technique thing since he gets to the second level quickly. He can be prone to penalties too and his temper can get away from him.
I think he's very similar to Riley Reiff from last year in terms of a thinner OT who has some quickness, and a nastiness in the run game. Lewan is 6'7" though and has very long arms which is what set Reiff back as a LT prospect.
Here's a game of him 1V1 against Williams Gholston.

Here's another of him up against Illinois and Michael Buchanon. Since Michigan runs the ball a lot, whether with a RB or Denard Robinson, you see a lot of Lewan getting to the second level and taking out LBs.

I have TCU vs Virgina recorded. A couple of OT prospects in that game worth looking at. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

I am watching K-State vs Oklahoma right now. Oklahoma's defense has not looked impressive. They are currently ranked 6th in the nation but their D has looked bad against K-State. Bill Snyder has brought that program back from the dead again. God I hate him. Go Jayhawks. _________________

Thompson has impressed me more, but he is nothing more than a situational back. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's
