Tell me about it! I keep opening it up, hoping to find some intellectually stimulating conversation regarding quantum mechanics or some similiar subject... |
I'll help, perrynoid.
Before the 1990s, string theorists believed there were five distinct superstring theories: open type I, closed type I, closed type IIA, closed type IIB, and the two flavors of heterotic string theory (SO(32) and E8×E .[13] The thinking was that out of these five candidate theories, only one was the actual correct theory of everything, and that theory was the one whose low energy limit, with ten spacetime dimensions compactified down to four, matched the physics observed in our world today. It is now believed that this picture was incorrect and that the five superstring theories are connected to one another as if they are each a special case of some more fundamental theory (thought to be M-theory). These theories are related by transformations that are called dualities. If two theories are related by a duality transformation, it means that the first theory can be transformed in some way so that it ends up looking just like the second theory. The two theories are then said to be dual to one another under that kind of transformation. Put differently, the two theories are mathematically different descriptions of the same phenomena.
BOOBS!!!

Since I'm a govt contractor I had to interview for my job again today. There is a slim to none chance I won't be brought back on under the new contract. Spent the entire time listening to my bosses tell me how great I am and how my work ethic and attitude here has become infectious.
Feels good to inspire people!

Government contracting can be a tough space. I wish you success. So does Marissa Miller.

That sucks. I really liked Revere. I mean, it doesn't actually suck because any pitching help is good. _________________

Yeah, we got a prospect who is considered #1/2 prospect for the Phillies. We might finally see Aaron Hicks now too. _________________ Gnat's Movie Reviews

Agreed, May is viewed as a third starter at worst.
Worley becomes our 1st/2nd best pitcher and becomes a great back end pitcher when guys like Gibson, May, and Meyer establish themselves. We may actually have a solid rotation within 2-3 years. _________________

Wait, I'm confused. Which twins are we talking about?

The Twins in this thread are certainly more enjoyable to watch....that said, that is a great trade for the baseball team. _________________ Wins are a team stat, not a QB stat |

Think that Maur deal is going to come back to bite you all. I know the Redsox are interested.
Wish the Cardinals could get some SS help. _________________

Once Morneau comes off the books, Mauer deal won't be that bad, add to the fact that for what he did last year he was actually paid about what he was worth, maybe just a tiny bit more. However, unless he hits 20+ HR's everyone will continue to say it is a very bad deal. _________________ Gnat's Movie Reviews
