We are now down to 53. A lot of notable vets got cut yesterday and there is talent on the wire right now. Who do you guys think the Lions will look at? Do you think these guys will drop that far in the order to Detroit? They are currently 23rd in the waiver order (I think).
4 Guys I hope the Lions put a claim in for:
C Dan Koppen
CB Joselio Hanson
CB Drayton Florence
FB Jacob Hester
Teams have to get their waiver claims in by noon, today. It'll be interesting to see who goes where. _________________

Im interested in Clyde Gates, DuJuan Harris and B.J. Cunnigham. Clyde Gares and B.J. Cunnigham were both cut by the Dolphins, so they must have stunk it up, but I really liked them during the draft. DuJuan Harris is a RB cut by the Jags, he had the fastest 10-yard split 2 drafts ago, but he's still like 210-220 pounds. _________________ Kate Upton for sexy President!!!

| Drayton Florence is my #1, even over a RB. Our Thirdary sucks and we need CB help. I'm sorry, but I'm not sold on Bentley. |

He won't hurt it, but I doubt he helps it, either. _________________

We actually don't have to put a waiver claim in for Koppen, Hanson, or Florence. They are all veterans so they're unrestricted free agents and they don't have to clear waivers. Actually I think it's four accrued seasons, so Hester falls under that category as well.

I say our intentions to not use a fullback are pretty obvious considering we released the only guy who resembled one. FB is kind of a dying art in the NFL, teams are keeping extra runningbacks instead because you no longer have that "one guy", you have 2 or sometimes even 3 different ball carriers. Long story short, don't think Hester would be necessary.
The other three I agree with, at this point I'd feel a lot better about adding proven veterans over more undrafted and late round picks from recent drafts. Our roster doesn't have too much leeway right now, the next three additions probably mean PS for Moore, Green and possibly Lewis/Silva so I'd rather add players who have been proven and have experience in the league then replace those guys with other young guys. |

Also Ramzee Robinson got cut.... | Good news, those guys are good enough to make other teams rosters so I'm surprised they all made it through. _________________ Kate Upton for sexy President!!!

| I would love to bring in Hester. My friend, who is a charger fan, said Hester was about to have a good season running he ball. He would also allow us to have more options out of the backfield and was San Diego's special teams captaIn last season. |

| Patriots cut Bobby Carpenter. I'd rather have him than whitehead. |
