I've saw this pop up and now it's being discussed over on the Bills site. This would most certainly affect how the Bills decide to make some of their cuts if true. Brooks could be a good candidate for the new IR rule.

So who gets his roster spot. It would be weird that we cut someone knowing that Brooks was having surgery. We might bring in someone new.

Someone new makes sense, or else I think we would have already put him on IR and not dropped someone else.
Or do you have to keep him on the 53 man roster with the new IR rule? Thought I may have read that.

Six including Smith who I believe will be working more at WR until Thigpen is gone.
