Not sure if this one has been mentioned, but Tauren Poole has also been cut. _________________

He will become a fringe starter in this league one day. I've followed his entire career. If he stays healthy, he's a very coachable player & will drastically improve, we saw some of the flashes. At TENN, even as a soph was the best back on the team....& that team also had Arian Foster.
It just makes me sick....
We kept pickles & armanti over him....strictly because it makes the front office look bad giving up on very young 2nd & 3rd picks...even though they have accomplished absolutely nothing....& are totally pieces of [inappropriate/removed].
Marty Hurney is such a dumb [edit]....if Cam haden't fallen into our lap, he'd be long gone by now. fact. _________________

It makes me sick that Edwards and Clausen made the team. _________________

I honestly think I would prefer Clausen to Derek Anderson at this point. Clausen to me has been more impressive in the preseason although it was against lesser defenses. He is younger and believe it or not, probably has more upside than Anderson at this point. Anderson has the connection to Chud, but he's not really running the same offense he was in Cleveland. Now I'm not saying I would be comfortable with Clausen coming in if we (knock on wood) have an injury at QB, but I would feel better than if Anderson came in. Clausen has just seemed more accurate so far this year and really seems like he wants to be here. _________________

Per panthers.com, more notable cuts include reggie smith, jason williams, armond smith (I thought we would keep either him or poole), and jordan pugh. The 53 man roster is now set. Also Andre Neblett is on the roster but will not count against the 53 until his suspension is over. _________________

| The Panthers RT position is a big potential problem. Bell better "ball out" or their offense will struggle. Also, special teams coverage needs to really step up. Starting field position is a hidden stat that is extremely important in the NFL. Granted Pittsburgh did commit some obvious penalties on both those returns, the Panthers coverage unit looks as it did under Fox. |

bell did the exact opposite of ball out last season (8 sacks allowed and 12 flags i think). the offense was 5th in points and 7th in yards. not that worried about him play hindering us too much. though it would be nice if he was better. _________________

Yep. And with a full offseason/TC as the starter, I'd be hard pressed to think that he won't get better. _________________

| How did Armanti Edwards make the team? He hasn't done anything as a receiver and now doesn't even do returns (and even if he did, he's worthless at it). |

fallen into our lap???? everyone was against cam going number one overall, everyone said he didnt have the heart and was an "entertainer" no one thought he could throw the ball in the nfl like he did his rookie year.
hurney picking cam was ballsy and could turn into the best decision in franchise history, when everyone else wanted to go with the safe pick of dareus or trade down. i would hardly say that "fell into hurney's lap" _________________ www.myspace.com/blacklisted |

| Can't believe McClain was cut. I thought he was starting to develop. However Dwan Edwards is a good veteran pick up for us. If he could get motivated again he'll be a solid pick up. |
