I believe it's a 4 year extension worth 28M overall, leaving him with 5 more years on his contract. Not sure where Billy is getting the 35M from.
But this is terrific news. I love watching Kam play and he's one of the shining examples of the identity of this defense. |

You're not sure? how about the link in your quote? John Clayton of ESPN, who by the way i don't trust much, I'm sure it's a 4-year extension. _________________

| Yea most of them get the info wrong because they want to be first instead of being accurate. |

Honestly, it's probably a little higher than I was expecting. I would've thought closer to 5.5 or 6. Happy to bring him back though.
This signals the end for Browner imo. _________________

| Sherman is going to want 15+ million. It would be easier to resign Browner, and rely on the Probowl safety tandem. |

He'd have to take a very team friendly deal to stay here. The CB market was very good for teams this offseason, perhaps that trend will continue for a guy that will be older than 30 by the time he's on the market. I don't think he'll see a big deal with his style and age. |

| Quote: | | In a press conference announcing the extension today, general manager John Schneider said it was the team’s “absolute number one priority” this offseason to lock up Chancellor for years to come. Remember, that’s an offseason that has included the signings of several high-profile players like wide receiver Percy Harvin, defensive ends Cliff Avril and Michael Bennett, as well as cornerback Antoine Winfield. Yet it’s Chancellor that headlines the offseason for Schneider and head coach Pete Carroll. |
I think it speaks volumes about what the front office envisions for Kam's future to say he was the team's number one priority. I think we're going to see Kam used in a lot of ways, from SS to WLB to a CB on TEs. |

I actually think it spells the end for Sherman unless Revis completey sucks because with Shermans ego he is going to want payed just as much if not more as Revis.
I think Browner would be more comfortable taking the team friendly deal in this system.

Earl has two years left right? So next Off Season he should be the next guy to get paid. |

Sherman is the one who said that the rest of the guys in the secondary and himself are going to take discounts to stay in Seattle. Why are you guys saying he's going to demand top dollar? I don't think anyone has an info on Sherman saying he wants to be paid the most. _________________
