We are one of 3 teams looking at UCF Running back Latavious Murray!! He would be a great 3rd running back for this team and could develop into more. Of course I have a man crush on him because I played against him in High School Laughing , What would everyone think of drafting him ??

Quote:
Northern Illinois WR Martel Moore has a private visit with the Seattle Seahawks

At his pro day, there were two teams in attendance, the San Francisco 49ers and Denver Broncos. He wanted to prove he can run routes for NFL teams. "Route running, catching ability. I know Iíve got more football speed than just flat-out time speed," Moore said. "Thatís something that I have to show them, how I can run real routes real fast and I can break tackles." Moore closed out his college football career with a career-high 224 yards against Arkansas State in the GoDaddy.com Bowl.

Was just going through some Tulsa film I received and two defensive players really jumped out at me as guys the Seahawks could certainly be interested in.

LB DeAundre Brown

Brown played all 3 LB spots for the Hurricanes last season and led the team in tackles, TFL, and sacks. He was an All-CUSA player last season. He's a bit undersized but he absolutely flies to the football, excels in man coverage, and above all else is an unbelievable blitzer. I certainly wouldn't mind a rotation of he and Malcolm Smith at our WLB spot. Brown is exactly the type of versatile, dynamic player Pete and John love to find in the later rounds/UDFA.

SS Dexter McCoil

At 6'4" and 222 lbs, McCoil is a hard guy to miss when studying the Tulsa games. As a Seattle fan, I immediately thought of Kam Chancellor w hen I saw him, but he really doesn't play that style. He's a free safety trapped in a strong safeties body which makes it really difficult to project him, but I have to believe a team like Seattle could find a use for him. He's not the big hitter that Kam is over the middle, but he has impressive ball skills for his size and has a knack for finding the football. In today's pass happy league, I wouldn't mind at all having a behemoth SS that can excel in zone coverage.

Seahawks have reportedly shown a lot of interest in LA Tech WR Quinton Patton.

Mike Adams, OT Ohio State---Steelers
Shane Vareen, RB Cal---Patriots
Mike Neal, DT Purdue---Packers
Fili Moala, DT USC---Colts
Brian Brohm, QB Louisville---Packers
Tim Crowder, DE Texas---Broncos
Chris Chester, C Oklahoma---Ravens
Darrent Williams, CB Oklahoma State---Broncos
Madieu Williams, FS Maryland---Bengals
Osi Umenyiora, DE Troy State---Giants
Ladell Betts, RB Iowa---Redskins
Tony Dixon, SS Alabama---Cowboys
Michael Boireau, DE Florida---Vikings
Larry Smith, DT Florida State---Jaguars
Dorian Boose, DE Washington State---Jets
Mike Minter, FS Nebraska---Panthers
Derrick Mayes, WR Notre Dame---Packers
Todd Sauerbrun, P West Virginia---Bears
Brad Ottis, DE Wayne State---Rams
Vincent Brisby, WR N.E. Louisiana---Patriots

The last 20 draft picks at #56 in the second round. 2 Probowlers, one of them a punter. 40% of these guys play on the Dline. Not really a great history for this pick (of course, 55 and 57 had much more talent overall)

Now, the seahawks last 10 second round picks

Bobby Wagner, LB Utah State
Golden Tate, WR Notre Dame
Max Unger, C Oregon
John Carlson, TE Notre Dame
Josh Wilson, CB Maryland
Daryl Tapp, DE Virginia Tech
Lofa Tatupu, LB USC
Michael Boulware, SS Florida
Ken Hamlin, FS Arkansas
Maurice Morris, RB Oregon

Really not bad at all. 3 Pro Bowlers and the only real bad player/miss there is Boulware. One of our best rounds of the last 10 or so years

Boulware was a better selection than Daryl Tapp.

do you think boulware was a better selection than tapp?

Wink

I disagree, btw. Tapp was below average in the pass rush but a solid run defender. I liked his versatility more than boulware, who started here because we had no other option. There was a reason he wasn't in the league after 2008. Our surrounding talent made him look better than he was and his boom numbers in the stat sheet his rookie year really warped people's view on him.

He may have had less impact on the NFL over his entire career, but I'll take what he gave Seattle over what Tapp gave. Doesn't really matter either way considering this is a new regime.
