Over who? Payne is a special teams only type of player and the team doesn't have a lot of excess at non-skill positions to give him a roster spot. With 11 DBs and 6 WRs he wasn't making the team. |
Sorry I thought he was eligable for the practice squad |

Ah, I thought you were talking about wanting him on the active roster. I'd still rather give a practice squad spot to somebody that has more room to grow though. Speaking of the practice squad...

Ravens signing former Steelers QB Dennis Dixon to their practice squad. Tyrod Taylor, their No 2, had shaky preseason though team likes him |
I thought they would be signing a QB to the practice squad since they only have 2 on the roster. I'm surprised it's Dixon though. That also fills all 8 spots.

Albert McClellan is now ahead of Courtney Upshaw and therefore the starter on the depth chart at the RUSH position. While, Cary Williams is still starting instead of Jimmy Smith _________________

I would expect McClellin to start on Monday since Upshaw has been dinged up so much.
However, not a shot Cary starts over Jimmy no matter what the chart says -- Cary has looked lost. _________________

I have absolutely zero faith in our pass rush is Albert McClellan is our starting rush backer. Does anyone else have faith?! We are using our best pass rusher as a coverage backer!
And yeah there's no way Cary is starting over Smith..I mean in a logical sense, but who the hell knows what Harbaugh is going to do. _________________

I guess it would be K.O. but who the hell knows LOL, I'm assuming
that Oher at LT and K.O. at RT might be better for their no huddle offense. We all know about McKinnie's conditioning. |

Is there any vet FA available we could sign week 2? That way their salary isn't guaranteed..
Also per Aaron Wilson twitter this was Baltimore trying to restructure his contract and Im guessing the two sides couldn't agree on a mutual decision.
We would save about 3.4 million in cap I read. |

I don't think anyone has any faith in our ability to rush the passer. Our only hope is if Ngata has a repeat of last year in that he's able to be so dominant that he just frees up so many other guys to make plays.
That said, whoever thought that Paul Kruger would be in store for such a huge development from his 10' season to the 11' season. Obviously Kruger killed it in preseason last year and neither McClellan, Kindle, nor Upshaw did this year... but they are all less developed. So who knows when the light switch will come on.. _________________
