Ok, so after Nick Foles looked like a competent qb this preseason it brought up the future and if Vick should stay beyond this up coming season.
Now personally I think Michael is garbage. He had a nice 6 game run but pretty much since the vikings game in 2010 he has been awful. He turns the ball over way too much, he still can't read a defense, he is made of glass, he's not smart enough to throw the ball away. I mean he sucks.
Why should we keep him after this season regardless of Nick Foles? Do you want Vick to stay past this year? _________________

It would be nice if he didn't get injured every time someone touched him. _________________

Anyone have a better QB to replace Vick with? This sounds an awful lot like some of the initial rationale for replacing McNabb with Kolb. I'm all for upgrading, but I'm totally against "hope and change." You guys sound like the Obama campaign platform. |

You wanna crown 'em after one preseason?!
Then crown em!
If he does well this year and rebounds back to 2010 form, I don't see why we don't keep him. |

We need to fail completely to be in a position to get a franchise qb. They are only available these days in the form of top 5 picks. Mediocrity is the true enemy of every franchise and the eagles have been firmly in it's grasp for the better part of a decade.
Michael Vick can only offer us mediocrity. We need complete failure. If that means having Nick Foles sink or swim next year then so be it. _________________

| Vick is good. He's also wildly inconsistent and injury prone. He's not a long term solution, but he's definitely our best option for this year. |

Vick is too short to play QB. So I would love a replacement. _________________

It is no different and it's coming from Kolb's most vocal supporter. If anything given Ninja's history and obvious bias toward Don/Mike, we should probably do the complete opposite. I can't think of a single QB since I joined this site He didn't pimp to replace McNabb and now Vick. Each and every time being proven wrong down the line. Everyone is ready to replace Vick before the season has even started, amusing! To compound that some are acting like retarded Seahawk fans pimping a Rookie who just so happened to look good in meaningless pre-season games. As though that is exactly how his play will be when teams actually game plan the offense and Foles tendencies specifically. Give me a break. _________________

Wow, I see everyone is completely off the Vick-wagon.
Kinda reminds me of when people did the same thing with Kolb over McNabb. |

I think the biggest issue that has become very evident is that Vick is the same QB he always was. He's on a better team, with better supporting players and a better coach.
His first games as QB where he lit the world on fire... that happens often to quarterbacks who emerge onto the scene unsuspected. The great quarterbacks continue success despite their entire skill-set and arsenal being out in the open for defenses to study.
Vick hasn't done that.
I will support Vick so-as-long as he is the Eagles quarterback, because I'm a homer like that and always have been for every QB, but I have no problem expressing my serious doubts.
Can we win with Vick? Yeah, but we're going to need our defense to play great defense, and the rest of our offense (namely Shady) to be just as dangerous as Vick is, not making Vick the focal point of our offense and subsequently the attacking point of defenses. _________________
