Never thought I'd say it, but the sooner Kirk Ferentz leaves Iowa, the better. Sick of him. _________________

Good grief. Denard Robinson is an exciting player but he has horrible mechanics and decision making as a QB. Could have a future in the CFL though. _________________ Northland |

WISCONSIN!!! 6 pages and no one to represent BUCKY! On a side note, we suck this year but I was the inventor of the Russell Wilson bandwagon and got mad hate when I wanted Russell Wilson in the 3rd round. _________________

Arkansas should no longer be in the SEC. Vandy may suck but at least they have academics. Kentucky may not be great either, but at least they have Basketball.
What. The. Hell. Does. Arkansas bring to the table?

Hey, Oregon finally woke up. And impressively two people scored on the same rushing TD. I can honestly say I have never seen anything like that. _________________

Sadly, I kinda feel the same way. I'm just glad I wasn't one of the homers that bought into the preseason hype. I picked us to go 7-5 or 8-4 while many here in Arkansas were saying 11-1 or 10-2.
Say what you want to about Bobby Petrino as a person, but as a coach the man is good. Had he kept it in his pants and not lied to the AD about it, we would be 3-1 at this point. Instead, we are 1-3 and it won't get much better. My prediction for next week: A&M 34, Arkansas 24 _________________

I don't think most people realized (myself included) just how great Wilson really was last year. Most people (again myself included) thought that there wouldn't be that much of a dropoff with Danny O'Brien taking over. Boy were we wrong. _________________

T_O7, you got about as much chance of seeing Steve Spurrier win a National Championship at South Carolina as you do of seeing Jon Gruden at Arkansas. It. Ain't. Happening.
At this point, here is my shortlist of candidates for the Arkansas HC job...
1. Kirby Smart, DC, Alabama
2. Gary Patterson, HC, TCU
3. Butch Davis
As you may notice, all 3 are defensive minded coaches. After years of having offensive minded coaches (pun intended) in Houston Nutt and Bobby Petrino, fans are sick of our defense being neglected. The Arkansas fans want a top notch defense with a balanced offense.
Why do they want Kirby Smart? He is a fiery, young coach ready to prove that he can win without Saban. He is a good recruiter and has coached some of the top talent in the nation.
Why will they not get Kirby Smart? He is on the short list of almost every school that is going to be after a young HC. Someone else might be able to offer him more money than Arkansas could.
Why do they want Gary Patterson? A proven winner at TCU, who could be ready to prove that he can hang with the big boys of the SEC.
Why will they not get Gary Patterson? Every year, it is the same thing. Teams come calling and Patterson turns them down.
Why do they want Butch Davis? He is a Razorback Alum, having played DE for the Hogs. He began his coaching career at Fayetteville HS in Arkansas. H aving been a Cowboy Coach, he has ties with Jimmy Johnson and Jerry Jones, also fellow Razorbacks. He has a proven track record of turning around programs, having done so at Miami and North Carolina.
Why do fans not want Butch Davis? Because of the NCAA sanctions he left Miami and North Carolina with. Sure, he can turn around a program and get them winning, but he has been shown to do so in violation of the NCAA rules. The fans don't want that to happen at Arkansas. With Nutt and Petrino, we have had enough scandal and embarassment. _________________

Kirby Smart is amazing. UF almost got him to come be our DC when MChamp was hired. (They are ol' school friends).
I actually would not mind Kirby Smart becoming our DC if Ryan gets a HC gig. _________________
