Football’s Future "Legends and Stars" Fantasy Draft - Rules and Signup
Rules
- Each team will select 2 NFL Legends, those Legends will will be regarded as if they were entering the prime of their careers*. 1 Legend will be an offensive player, and the other a defensive player.
--- *If the Legend selected is still in the NFL, their current NFL likeness is still draftable. For example, if Team A selects Peyton Manning Legend as one of their Legend players, the Peyton Manning of today, in his current status, may still be selected by another team looking for a QB. These Legends can be drafted at any point during the draft.
- Rosters will be 18 players in size.
Offense
1 QB
2 HB
2 WR
1 TE
1 HB/WR/TE
Defense
2 DE
1/2 DTs (3-4 / 4-3)
2 OLB
1/2 M/I LB (4-3 / 3-4)
2 CB
2 S
A panel of judges will individually give your team a grade out of 100. They will be looking for the following
- The ability to win now - pretty self explanatory, if this team went against the other teams in this competition during an 15 game season (each team played each other once), what would their record look like? 35 possible points
- The ability to keep winning - Is this team full of young players who will be playing at a high level for 5 years to come? Or are these seasoned veterans who may be declining before that 5 year mark is reached? 35 possible points
- Chemistry - Are these players team leaders, or team cancer? Would they mesh well and bring out the best in each other or would their egos bring down the locker room? 15 possible points
- Scheme - Do all the players on your team fit with each other like the pieces of a puzzle or are there players who look out of place? (Example: selecting a 3-4 OLB when the rest of your front 7 is a 4-3) 15 possible points
The Draft
- The draft will be a snake draft consisting of 18 rounds.
- Draft selections will be on a 12 hour time limit. The clock will not run for 8 hours between 10:00 P.M. EST and 6 A.M EST. The clock starts for a team’s selection when the team before them makes their pick, or when the 12 hour time limit for the team before them is expired.
- Draft selections may be traded as long as each team remains at 18 selections overall. If you trade with a team who is OTC, you must follow the same time constraints they would have, had they kept the pick. (Example: If you trade with a team who has been OTC for 8 hours, you only have 4 hours to make your selection.)
- If you select a Legend who is still currently playing in the NFL, be sure to put the word “Legend” after their name in the post that you make your selection in.

DEFINITELY down for this. I love these things. I really hopewe make it to the end of this one.
Are those the only draftable legends? There really are quite a few that are better than the ones listed, but if we all know what we are in for to start with, it is fair. _________________

Yeah, I purposely left some off even thought they were better, for one reason or another. Sometimes because it was so hard to tell how they'd translate to today's NFL and sometimes because the size of players has changed so much, that there's no way they'd compete. Sometimes I didn't have a reason and I just wanted to add someone else without adding too many guys.
If there was someone you really felt should be added to the list before the draft starts, PM me and I'll look into it. _________________

Awesome.
Like I said, if there is a legend you don't think you can live without, PM me and I'll look into it. No promises, but I'm pretty persuadable. _________________

What? Who said experts?
They're being paid in a lifetime supply of Fancy Feast, over-ripe tomatoes, and a stockpile of mismatched socks, collected over the years at the local laundromat.
Kidding. I've sent a handful of PMs out, got a few yeses, still waiting on a few. When I get them finalized I'll post them. _________________
