Colledge working at LT is preparation if something happens to Batiste. Think we've seen what DJ Young can do at this pt. #azcards

Rich Ohrenerger took his place at LG.
Younggun1273 floated this possibility a few weeks ago. It SOUNDS like this is simply a precaution in case Batiste were to get hurt, he's essentially taking DJ Young's backup reps but if this is anything more, I really don't like it. Colledge-Ohrenberger is far, far worse than Batiste-Colledge IMHO. _________________

I appreciate the nod about me floating this possibility around.
It looks like it is all just a precautionary thing. Batiste did not look bad last game when he played. I know you don't like him champ, but even you can agree he is better than Young. I am not sure if Colledge could do the job better and I have to think that Bridges will get a look at left guard as well, but I am starting to think that Bridges is no longer in the coaches plans. Either way, the line is in trouble so I am glad to see the coaches trying to figure it out the best they can. _________________

Being better than DJ Young isn't much of a complement.
Sounds to me like Batise and Massie will be our week 1 starters, barring something unexpected or unfortunate. _________________

And there will be lots of snaps for Heap, King and Sherman alongisde and behind them. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

Oh, AZ.
When are we going to upgrade our pro personnel department? |

No idea if it's an upgrade move but we did just replace former director of pro personnel TJ McCreight. _________________

| If Jeremy Bridges is not an upgrade or at least on par with these guys then I will eat my shoe. |

Ooh, you're right. Forgot about that. Did Licht do much for us last time he was here?
It's really kind of silly how we've been as bad at free agency as we've been good at drafting these past couple of seasons. |

There were two new rule changes that were agreed upon today:
1. The trade deadline is now the Tuesday after Week 8 of the season instead of Week 6.
2. One player may return to the team after being placed on IR.
The second rule change could help this team out if Levi Brown is able to come back from injury. Either way I like these two changes, especially the trade deadline because Week 6 is so early when every other major sport has their deadline in the middle of the season. _________________
