Ugh. Make a thread when he DOES!!!
Tired of all these news reports saying what he will do or what people think he will do.
Wake me up when he does _________________ Stay low boys.... keep those feet moving!

Am I the only one that is expecting him to have a new deal by the opener?
I expect the Steelers and Wallace to have the parameters of a deal already worked out. _________________

Nope. You are not alone.
I don't see any way in hell he would risk his future earnings to play for 2.7 mil.
If he sits at home, risking nothing, he is essentially guaranteed to dwarf that amount via a franchise tag or UFA contract next year.
I agree. Fully expect him to have a long term deal worked out shortly.
If he is reporting without the intention of signing a deal at or near what the last offer on the table was he and his agent are clueless beyond redemption. _________________

I bet they already have something worked out. I think we see Wallace and Downtown Brown together for the future. _________________

UGH that would be awesome!!!! We wont be able to afford Emm probably but we have hit on some good late round WRs lately so we should have no trouble providing quality #3-5 to go with Wallace and AB for years to come.
Please happen!!! _________________ Stay low boys.... keep those feet moving!

I think our lack of a deep passing game this preseason will really make our front office work harder at getting a deal done.
Not saying it will, but I see them giving it all they got. _________________

Im not sure Sanders has warranted anything more than say a 3yr/4.5 million contract. He can go elsewhere but it would be a stretch to take him as a #2 guy and pay him that type of money. Those numbers are off the top of my head but even this pre season he hasn't shown an ability to be much more than he already is and has shown. Along with injury bug.
Thoughts on numbers? _________________

Possibly. Most of the long plays this preseason came off runs and screens. I'd be surprised if even more than 10% of Ben's completions this preseason came more than 10 yards off the LOS. _________________ Geno Smith, Tavon Austin, Stedman Bailey, and Bruce Irvin will all have at least 1 pro bowl season each by the end of the decade.

Look at this way...he's basically risking injury, poor performance, bad pr etc etc for an extra $1.5 mill this year if there is no long term deal set in place...
That would be insanely stupid compared to long term $$$ he could lose for the above reasons.
99% chance a deal is "miraculously" struck before the opener...keep the faith.
Feels good to be posting about football again too _________________

The Official Mike Wallace 17
Glad to be back in the 'Burgh with my teammates. It's time for me to get busy. I am ready. To my fans, I hope you understand that I had to handle the business end of things for myself which is never easy for you or me. But for now, that's behind me. I am back and ready to help my team make another run at it. I am focused on winning another championship for Steeler Nation and this city. Let's do it. MW
