Guess they aren't completely sold on Howard yet. Regardless, I've heard Jason Smith hasn't been that great either. _________________

I'm just shocked that the Rams are even taking Hunter. Jason Smith isn't great, but I would take him over hunter. he will just be a back up if Howard was to fall apart. _________________

Rams save $1.55M in salary, and we take chance on a player. It's an OK deal. _________________

Not a bad deal. Idk how the Rams player is, but it gives us a new option to check out. _________________

Yeah I'm not mad at all. I know Smith is bad, but atleast hes younger with some type of potential. Hunter is flat out old and done. _________________

I called this when Smith lost his job, granted I thought he would be cut. Even if Smith blow, it's an upgrade. Hunter was a good backup, just not good enough to be a starter in the league. Smith has that raw talent, but needs to get it together. _________________

Fingers crossed that a change of scenery benefits. That's all there is here from the Jets' perspective.
I don't know if this will be the case, but what I fear is that the increase in guaranteed salary puts the Jets off from acquiring a right tackle in a few days if one is cut that could come in and potentially start as a stop gap.
I don't have much expectation really. He'll probably play Thursday and we can get a decent look at him then. |

Hunter simply needed to go. He ate dirt 5 or 6 times against the Panthers. It simply didnt matter where he lined up, he just was ineffective. HE needed to go someplace new to have any chance at salvaging his career. _________________

He'll be used in our max protect/jumbo situations. Howard's still the starter. _________________
