| I have been gone for a while and I don't know if there is a thread for this but does anybody regret not getting this guy when he was on the waiver wire. I don't after his steroid incident he has been not the lights out that he was back in his hey day. |

I think he's done. I'd only bring him in if we had major injuries at olb

He fits the scheme, is only 28 and wouldn't be stunting the growth of any young OLB. Chris Wilson is nothing special and White has been hurt. I'd sign him to the vet min and have him and Rob Jackson backup Rak and Kerrigan on the outside. You can never have enough pass rushers. But if he is in fact completely done like turtle said then I guess u have to pass. No harm in bringing him in for a workout though.

He and LaRon Landry are too similar.
Juice or no Juice.... injuries don't allow them to see significant time on the field.
God, forbid an injury to Orakpo or Kerrigan, but that's the only way I'd consider bringing in Merriman.

He USE to be a solid name in the game. But if we did have an injury at OLB we can do better than that.
And I think Bryan Kehl having been working with the team already can do better this season if needing to be brought in it than Merr could.

I thought Kehl was playing ilb next to Robinson when he's in there.
Jackson, White and Wilson are our back up OLb's. Right?

Because he might end up very good in our scheme.
You are right tho we do have alot of pass rushers now at OLB . But I wouldnt be surprised if we sniffed around he is talented and D.C Residence and we lately have picked up alot of those. |

That's Buffalo's current two-deep. Yes, I realize it's a 4-3 and that Merriman would be better suited in a 3-4. However, can you honestly look at that list and tell me that he couldn't play in a 4-3 over one of those guys if he were healthy?
It's a shame, but there's a reason he's available. In the last four years, he's played in 23 games and started 21 (and 14 of those starts and games played were in 2009). Stick with what we have. |
