Didn't think we'd actually get one of the cb's traded.
Wonder what we got in return. |

Cardinals trade CB AJ Jefferson to Vikings, according to NFL source. Compensation unknown but draft picks involved #AZCards _________________

Well, I was expecting Jefferson, but I thought we'd be trading with the Chargers...they're looking for CB help, too.
[Edit] - Now that I think about it, trading with the Vikings is a real surprise. The Vikings fans in their forum have been bragging about how much improved their secondary was! I would have thought they were set. _________________

You can never have too much secondary help especially considering the Vikes play the Bears, Packers and Lions 6 times a year. You really have to be four deep at CB.
Cook looks really good, Josh Robinson has been a pleasant surprise and Winfield is a steady vet. Jefferson will be the #4 but when you going up against the Bears, Lions and Packers you need to have great depth at CB. At the end of the day, you have to beat your division to compete, and in the NFC North, that means being deep in the secondary. |

AJ has potential. He keeps the play in front of him and tackles well. But he has not made many plays on the ball. If you want to see him at his worst look for some highlights of the Cards vs Ravens last season.
Handy ST'er too. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

I personally would have rather traded Toler, but his injury would have scared teams off. Any pick we get is a profit. We picked up AJ as an UDFA. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

Totally agree with all of that, which made me expect Jefferson simply because he's the only one I thought we could get any real value out of. _________________

Figured it would be AJ, no one would trade for Adams and Toler is coming back from injury. Glad to see Toler still here, imagine he will be inactive the first few games. _________________ Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition.

Pretty good get for Minnesota for what I'm sure is a lower round pick. Talent coming out his ears. He can't catch to save his life (McNabb gift wrapped him 2 picks last year and he dropped em both) but he's a good young player with room to grow.
Hoping we'd try and trade Toler personally, although it's not a huge deal. He's our #4 CB at best. _________________
