We all know as soon as Haslam, and banner took over Shurmur was as good as gone, I would like him to stay because the ever revolving door here has not worked but he won't. Lets look at some options.

Chip Kelly. Is it me or does the college HCs scare the crap out of me. Chip reminds me a lot like Bobby Petrino a couple years ago when Atlanta hired him and everyone said it was a great signing and their Offense was going to take off because he was a offensive mastermind. He left with a few games left in his second season after he told the owner I'm here for the long haul and left notes on his players locker telling them he was leaving which they promptly threw in the trash. Look at some of the college coaches who have came and gone. Bobby Petrino, Steve Spurrier, Nick Saban.

Nick Saban another Bobby Petrino he left the Dolphins in the middle of the night after he said he wouldn't go anywhere, if that was to happen here it would put a big stain on the new owner.

Josh McDaniels. I do like this one to a certain extent. Did he learn his lessons from his failures at Denver who knows but from the rumors he would like to come here and with Banner having total control hopefully he would be the voice of reason and halt any dumb decisions he might have. He does pretty well with QBs just ask Matt Cassel who still sends him a thank you card for making him a rich man.

These are the 3 that I continue to hear the most out of all the news reports. I would like a coach who has some experience in the NFL because like Petrino found out these aren't young kids these are grown men. Another thing about college is if you are at a place like Alabama you don't have to be that great a coach just a great recruiter and if you have great recruiting classes then your probably going to be a pretty good team.

I hope you are right and that Shurmur is gone.

Pretty sure that none of the guys you mention will be the new HC.

Banner's only track record in this picking a virtual unknown -- Andy Reid.

That's the way I expect it to go. Hope the selection is as good and preferably better than Reid.

I hope you are right as well because they all scare me but if we could get a Andy Reid type coach and I'm talking about winning the way he has I would be happy. He might have stunk it up been they have been to numerous NFC championship games, 1 Super Bowl, we have NEVER been to a Super Bowl so any coach who can get us there would give us a better chance of winning then all the other coaches we have had which never have got us to 1.

Bruce
Reid is the main reason for Banner leaving Philly

No chance he comes here.

Thankfully

That's not what he said. He said that the last time he made a coaching decision it was Reid and

He's not saying that he thinks Reid will be the next coach.

Reading fail lol
I was gonna say, the one guy that made no sense was Reid.

I still want Gus Bradley more than anyone else. My second choice would be Kyle Shannahan. As much as I think Gus Bradley would be the best option I have a feeling it is going to be an offensive minded HC.

Some college coaches work out, some don't. I didn't see anyone fearing Harbaugh when he came from Stanford, for example.

All I know is after hearing from more Denver fans than I can count, I don't want McDaniels - sounds like a complete headcase once handed HC authority. Then again, with Lombardi as a GM it won't really matter much since whomever it is won't have any players with NFL ability to work with.

Yeah I remember you mentioning him before. You got me excited about him and wanted to do further research and I forgot.

Same with QBs. Let's use every one of our draft picks on QBs!

I just want us to be good, so bad. I would take a look at Nick Saban. All HE does is win. Chip Kelley, sure why not. Jon Gruden, so what if he did it with "Dungy's team," he STILL did it, not Dungy, and then Dungy only did it ONCE WITH PEYTON MANNING.

It isn't like we're going to be able to hire anyone "proven" that's not really how it works. Gruden, Dungy, Cowher? So many reasons why they could, but they probably won't. The awesome coaches retire, and then maybe come back to a good situation. That is not the Browns. The only way these coaches get HC experience is by getting experience as a HC. I feel bad for Shurmur, I don't think it's all his fault, but it really could be his last shot at a HC job. So many factors go into each game, and the coaching, while a big part of the gameplan, the execution still falls on the players. I don't care who the next head coach is. If we're not winning football games next year then I'm still gonna be depressed by the end of the season. The speculation drives me even farther into this hole, because all it really tells me is that "WE DON'T GOT IT", nobody here knows how to get it, and the prescription is more significant than cowbell. I'm just gonna watch the last two games, and prolly will not be returning to the forum until after the blowup at the start of the offseason, when "A New Hope" is back in full effect.
