I am honestly pretty excited about this. I think Davis is a better talent than we probably would have gotten at the top of the 2nd next year. He is only 24 years old so with the guidance of Pagano and staff could be a good to great corner for us to pair with Powers for years to come. It should also free up the front 7 to be more aggressive.
I am happy that we are being aggressive in finding solutions to the issues at hand instead of waiting to see if an undrafted player will step up, like we did under Polian.
Let's get this season started!!! _________________

This was the most reasonable of all the trade options.
I do like how so many people just assumed that when Irsay said high draft pick it had to be a first rounder.
If Powers can stay healthy, King is a serviceable nickle and our other CBs who were fighting for the starting job are now in their best spot, depth. |

Anyone that hasn't seen my sig, the Colts have already traded the following picks next year...
-2nd to Mia in Vontae Davis trade
-5th to SF in TY Hilton draft day trade
-6th(conditional) to Mia in Davis trade
-7th(conditional) to Philly in K. Thomas for Fokou/Lloyd Jr. trade.
And the cond 2014 pick to St. Louis in the Josh Gordy trade. |

Do you think the Colts will keep Fokou/Lloyd? We've already cut Thomas, I'm curious as to what happens if no one involved makes either team.. |

Fokou and Lloyd are competing with Mario Harvey for 1 spot. It's conceivable they carry 2 until Angerer is available sometime after the Week 4 bye but I can't see that. |

It isnt too often when I look at a trade and said it serviced both teams but this one did. Whatever the reason Vontae was not a favorite of the new regime. It pains me to say but Miami is in rebuilding mode. The 2nd round pick is about right for what V.Davis has shown thus far (he was taken bottom of 1st round). Great trade for both teams. _________________ "Yesterday Is History, Tomorrow Is A Mystery, And Today Is A Gift. That Is Why It Is Called The Present.""
