Hard to know if the guy is good or just lucky, haven't seen him in other games. I do remember there were reports Hue wanted to cut Mitchell and keep Brown but Al said no to that idea.

I think the rumor about Al saying no to cutting Mitchell was the year before when Cable was the HC.

I say Hue. Brown was playing at FS when the guy played SS and LB at Michigan. Because of injuries he was thrown into the fire and give up some plays here and there. He was pretty good on special teams though and showed flashes during preseason. Guy just needed the time to develop. |
He was good his rookie year, then didn't look as good in preseason his 2nd year and was cut. He then bounced around the league for a year (first picked up by Carolina, then Indianapolis) and no team thought he was good enough to keep him. |
Yea that's right. I think Hue cut him to bring somebody from Cincinnati in. Hagan was cut for Housh too. He's been more productive than Mitchell.

There is no gameday thread yet and I wont pretend I can make one as good as you guys so I will post this here.
As you know Talib was already suspended. Eric Wright will be suspended and is injured so he will not be playing.
Now Carl Nicks is out with injury.
Are chances are getting better and better for a win this week. |

Just got round to watching the Saints - Broncos game, though Manning will get the accolades the Broncos defence was immense. Pressured Brees all game and made him look really nervous in the pocket all night. Gave us the template for beating New Orleans. New Orleans on the other hand gave Manning time to throw and pick apart their lackluster D. Our DL must be on it for both these games, i can see us beating NO if our DL can get the pressure.

Its better if the GDT is made Thursday or Friday. Its gets to like 10 pages before Sunday otherwise.
