Good show.
Here's what I've been posting in our Other thread.
NickButera wrote: | NickButera wrote: | NickButera wrote: | First possessions are done. Cassel couldn't do much against Seattle's D. 3 n' out with a Cassel sack. Wilson led a drive to the Chief's 17 and looked very good doing it. Going through his reads, hitting the open man, this kid's going to be good. Routt had a pretty clear PI but it wasn't called because the ball was overthrown, same ol' Routt. |
2nd possessions are done.
Charles looks like he could be back to his old self, had a very good run and cutting like he did in 2010. Cassel actually doesn't look bad, he looks confident. He just seems to miss a few throws here and there and couldn't sustain this particular drive.
Chiefs D doesn't look dominant at all, but they do look good. They can stuff the run but only at times, they've allowed some key runs here and there that really hurt. I don't think Flowers is playing tonight too. Wilson and their Lynch-less run game drove down the field on them yet again but stalled when Sydney Rice let a ball bounce off his chest at the Chief's 15 yardline. Followed by a good blitz and sack by KC's D. 6-0 Seattle at the end of the first quarter. |
3rd possessions done.
KC went 3 n out again. Bowe had a catch on a high pass but was very well defended and ball punched out. Cassel had another throw juuust a bit high went through the hands of a diving Moeaki. Hard to tell if it was just out of his reach or slippery hands. Cassel sacked for a big loss when he should have thrown the ball away. Not a good showing by the offense so far.
Wow! KC brought the house and Wilson ran up the middle for 30-40 yards effortlessly. KC stopped them after that. 9-0 Seattle. This Wilson kid is going to win the starting job.
Honestly, so far it looks like we did last year, and a few select years past. Very good talent, and plays very well at times. But just isn't consistent enough on both sides of the ball. Mind you, this is just from dissecting these 3 series. |
4th possessions:
KC Offense went 3 n out again. This time they tried running the ball 3 times in a row. Seattle's run D is great and Charles is still fast. There is a stark difference in speed compared to when they give the ball to Charles, or another RB.
Wilson with another 30+ yard run, Then a great 20ish yard pass for a TD.
KC couldn't do much against that drive. Looks like the lack of Flowers is hurting though. 16-0 Seattle.
5th Drives coming up, KC and Cassel is having a very good offensive drive right now. Up to the Seattle 30 in a no huddle offense. _________________ Bah-Weep-Granah-Weep-Nini-Bong

Kind of ironic, KC couldn't start moving the ball until they went no huddle and starting dumping the ball off on 5-7 yard routes. Moving the ball without the run game right now all the way to the 5 yard line. Cassel is looking good doing it though.
Edit: TD pass by Cassel after scrambling around avoiding a sack. Overall very good drive by Cassel. 2 min left in the half. 16-7 Seattle. _________________ Bah-Weep-Granah-Weep-Nini-Bong

KC D did well and had a 3 and out..... Wilson had a first down but T.O dropped another pass. Penalty on KC D,roughing the passer I think... first down Seattle. Wilson making key passes and driving within 2 minutes. Missed tackle by KC D and allowed a 3rd and 13 first down pass. .....1 more roughing the passer penalty...both penalties on Hali.
Seattle knocking on the door for another score.....
and there it is. Great 13 yard pass by Wilson for the TD. End of halftime. 23-7 Seattle. _________________ Bah-Weep-Granah-Weep-Nini-Bong

Seattle's first team O scored again on KC's first team D on a 20 yard Turbin run into the end zone. KC's D doesn't look very good at this point. Giving up a big penalty here or there and a big run or pass here or there. 30-7 Seattle. _________________ Bah-Weep-Granah-Weep-Nini-Bong

KC is being eaten alive by the Seahawks at this point. 37-7, starters still in. Hilarious. |

Man I really wish we would have drafted R. Sherman. Had him in most of my mocks that year. One of those few guys who looks like he could be a beast actually turns out to be. |
