Hey guys I'm looking for a fantasy outlook for Steven Jackson
Is he going to be losing carries to Pead? I have him a big time sleeper because of his health, lack of split carries (i think) and the fact that Shotty/Fisher are bringing their ball control offense to town.
Also what kind of stats do you guys see him putting up? I'm thinking of getting him as a possibly a fringe #1 RB
Thanks |

It started 2 years ago. I thought he was pretty much done as a feature back. He looked too big and wasn't quick. It was tough to watch.
Last year, it seemed like he changed something. He started getting quicker and he looked slimmer. He also began to stop doing this annoying little "jump step" before running through the offensive line.
This year, he looks really fast. He also isn't "jumping" before he goes through the offensive line. He's now finding the hole and hitting the line with authority.
I don't know how he will do fantasy wise. But he looks as good as he has in a while. He's a top 10 back for sure. _________________

| This is exactly what I was hoping to hear, thanks for the response man. I'll hopefully snag him in the 3rd or maybe even 4th |

But when you start getting in the Frank Gore, Michael Turner, or Fred Jackson kind of range, I'd take Steven Jackson over them. _________________

Steven gets you Yards.. Steven does not get you TD's..
I actually picked him up this year.. First time I have ever done that.
Also, Amendola as well. They have Givens, Quick and Gibson ranked ahead of him lol. What a steal! _________________

If our offense was better i have no doubt Steven would get more touchdowns. Ive been able to pick him up in the 3rd - 5 rounds which is really a steal imo. He would had around 1300 yards and more tds had he not gotten injured early. _________________

Fred Jackson is in one of the more open spread offenses in the league. That should open running lanes for him. My concern is Spiller and if Fitzpatrick can do enough to keep the defense honest. Fred Jackson is also older than Steven Jackson.
It really is a toss up between the two but I think I would take Jackson for one reason. He's in a run-first offense and the Rams know the only way they can win is if he's getting carries. _________________

I really like Steven this year, I actually like him over Lynch this year and I've seen a lot of people have Lynch rated as a 1st rounder.
As for Fred or Steven, I'd deffinetly take Steven. Fred is coming off a knee injury, is 31 years old and has CJ Spiller as his backup. |

I snatched up Steven Jackson at the end of the fourth round and feel like I got a steal. 12 team league and the demeanor in the room was that everyone thinks Jackson is done...
I got Stafford in the first, Fitz in the second, Marshall in the third, and Jackson in the fourth... I'm feeeling primed for a championship run this year. |
