I can't say that I saw it first-hand (hey, I was 6-7 beers in), but Jim Miller was saying that Evan Rodriguez was getting consistently blown up as a lead blocker last Saturday. If that's the case, and if Clutts is holding his own on the kick coverage units, then Clutts needs to make the team, unless Tice wants to run one-back sets almost exclusively this year. | Yeah, from everything I've seen, Rodriguez looks pretty weak. He seriously needs to hit the weights before we use him as a blocker for anything bulkier than Nate Kaeding. _________________ Here's to hoping Emery is NOTHING like Angelo. |

I didn't expect this to happen...Good sign for Armando Allen IMO. I think Kyle Adams is the next 'surprise' cut. Making Clutts part of the active 53 man roster. _________________

I thought he was out played by Armando Allen anyway.
Plus Allen is smaller and shiftier than Forte and Bush he might give us a nice 3rd down option or change is pace look.
As a RFA I thought Bells money was all guaranteed? _________________

Nope. He signed a one year non-guaranteed deal. Since he was cut before the season started, the Bears don't owe him anything and get a little more cap room.
I think the fact that Armando was a way better pass blocker than Khalil despite being 40 lbs. lighter sorta sealed his fate. That and his fumbilitis last year. |

The #3 spot is between Lorenzo Booker and Armando Allen. _________________ Martellus Bennet highlight video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5lP8fHN53t0 |

Unga ensured he'll never play much in the NFL ever again tonight. _________________

Yea I know, and both have played well .......just a big Unga fan, did my Ugrad at BYU. Kid was a beast and warrior, something must have really messed with him back when he left the team...idk
was so excited when we took him in supplemental draft, but you may be right IronMike........his wiffed block that gave up that blocked punt is pretty unforgivable! |

I honestly thought he'd never make the team, I though he was cut long ago. _________________ Martellus Bennet highlight video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5lP8fHN53t0 |
