Duke Johnson named ACC Rookie of the Week and Gionni Paul named co-Linebacker of the Week. Not sure why Paul is honored, he had 14 tackles (only 7 solo) but that's irrelevant considering they were all after gains and the defense couldn't stop Virginia most of the game.
Eddie Johnson and Gabe Terry were not at practice today. Golden said it was because they didn't play against Virginia. Isn't it supposed to be you don't play if you don't practice, not the other way around? Which leads me to the next tidbit...
Deon Bush was at practice today in a regular jersey but he and Eddie Johnson are not listed on the newest depth chart. Thurston Armbrister is listed as the starter in Johnson's spot with Gaines as the backup. Finnie has dropped behind Gunter and Howard at CB. |

Miami fires longtime equipment manager.

Eddie Johnson back at practice today. Still no Gabe Terry. Golden said Terry, "needs to mature." Also stated that Johnson will not start against USF and that Gabe Terry has not been reinstated.
Per Golden, "(Tracy Howard) has really grown up the past couple of weeks." |

Well the school gives a lot of need based stuff anyway. Depends on what you're aiming for I guess.

Yeah, but it knocks off a year of penalty, have to qualify to self impose.
