Assuming the Giants take 6 receivers, Nicks Cruz and Randle are locks... I believe Jernigan and Hixon will also end up making the team (Jernigan because its still only his 2nd season and Hixon for veteran leadership and special teams).
So who takes the final spot?
Barden has the size and athletic ability but hasn't done anything.
Stanback has produced for the Dallas and has shown some ability in the preseason.
Do one of the youngsters end up grabbing the final spot? |

I'm still not ready to give up on Barden. I think in the right situations he can be very effective. Stanback has looked decent though. Honestly I'm excited to see Hixon back in full health. He makes for great depth. I'm not sold on Jernigan at all. _________________

I agree. I'm done with Barden, he stinks.
No upside to Stanback. _________________

I agree with you about this... My only thought is with such uncertainty for this year beyond nicks and cruz, we may very well end up needing one of these guys to be the 3rd receiver for atleast a few games due to injuries, and then I would want Stanback who is a bit more reliable. I like Douglas too but I would be more comfortable giving Stanback playing time this year |

I was a big supporter for a while. Heck, I even won our mock draft contest because I had us taking him in the 3rd. But at this point, I'm curious as to what you see in him? Every time I see him, he is falling down. He flops like a basketball player. I just don't think he is going to amount to anything in this league. _________________ W O R L D C H A M P I O N S '86, '90, '07, '11 |

Come on Stanback has 5 catches in his career. He is nothing more then a special team player. |

At least Steinback can play ST. Barden cant. If hes not on the field he offers nothing. And when he is actually is on the field he cant get open if his life depended on it.
Honestly dont care who it is as long as its not Barden |

Stanback produced less for us than the Game Show Winner Jesse Holley. He was beyond awful. _________________

My thought process is "go with the guy who hasn't proved that he sucks yet."
Hopefully he's closer to Cruz than Michael Jennings and Duke Calhoun. _________________

He certainly hasn't shown anything on the field yet. But he's been given very limited opportunity to prove himself in a live game. I just think his size and body type alone is enough to hold on to him. I can totally see him going to another team and becoming a huge redzone threat. I just don't understand why we've never tried him...even once on a redzone fade.. _________________
