It probably wouldn't make much sense to release Eric Winston and sign Tyson Clabo, but would Clabo be worth considering at RT? His contract would probably be a little more than we could handle this year as we are reportedly right around $4 million below the cap right now.

Clabo has always reminded me of Jon Runyan. He would definitely add physicality and nastiness to our offensive line that is for sure.

Don't know much about him but I'll check and get back.

I think he's probably the best option available, short of us drafting someone at 1. Not sure how well he fits our offense, and really unsure of how he fits our cap numbers.

I could see that happening "if" we traded Albert which would free up a good amount of cap space. Clabo has better statistics than Winston regarding sacks allowed and that's coming from a team that had twice as many pass attempts than the Chiefs did last season. Joekel and Clabo protecting the edges would sound ok and asuumming we traded Albert we would have another high draft selection in the mix. I bet he gets scooped up before maybe to SD.

This team has already signed Geogg Schwartz to probably play RT and they have Stephenson to play both tackle positions. I don't see Clabo as any better than those 2.

I agree. Unfortunately, I don't Albert's situation clearing up before the draft, or at least until the Chiefs give up on trading down.
