http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/8286397/report-jacksonville-jaguars-play-multiple-home-games-london-starting-2013

Kinda thought this would have been a news story in here already.

Quote:
The person said the Jaguars will play a total of four home games in London, one each year between 2013 and 2016
.

Quote:
Khan said last year he wanted to create an international fan base for the Jaguars.

"The NFL is going to be developing an international fan base. Why shouldn't it be the Jaguars?" Khan said in December. "In all honesty, internationally, they don't know the difference between the Jaguars and the Steelers."

Sucks to lose 1 of the 8 home games every year, but might help develop some London fanbase with a longish-term commitment.

Good business move by Khan. The Jaguars could really use the extended fanbase.

Yup. They could possibly get more attendance there than in Jacksonville.

What is the revenue split for "home" games overseas?

That being said, I think his statement is pretty ignorant regarding the Jaguars and Steelers comparison.

Wembley is currently the largest stadium used for NFL games -

Interesting. I could have sworn the Redskins stadium held a lot more than 79,000.

Once again, anyone know if the "home" team gets the majority of the profits as though it were an actual home game or no?

I thought the Rams were doing this?

And this is a good move, reminds me of when the Expos played in Puerto Rico and got higher attendance there then they did in Montreal.
