Vintage probably isn't the right word. Vintage implies Taylor Swift, which is my least favorite album of hers. "WANEGBT" is radio Taylor, whereas "Begin Again" trends closer to the meat of Speak Now, Fearless, and even Beautiful Eyes.
I suspect there will be one more release from the new album and it will be somewhere between "WANEGBT" and "Begin Again" in terms of catchiness vs. substance.

As others have said the first single is terrible and I hope it's not indicative of the whole album. Her first album was so good as being deep without actually being so if that makes any sense. It conveyed a wisdom beyond her years to write about love despite the fact she actually wasn't. The second album showed some maturity and was good but didn't feel as great but still a good album none-the-less...
However, I have to ask this one question... When will people start to call Taylor Swift out on being a whore?! Half the guys she's slept with, broken up with and written songs about her are like 12 years her senior. Why does she get to keep doing this?!

I don't know about where you're from, but it's definitely her trademark with most girls I've talked to about her. And yeah, I can definitely see it as well, even though I like her alright. |

If you're looking for her to sing about walking into the club with her AK, don't hold your breath  This is what she sings about, and she's pretty good at it.

Eyes Open is a newer song of hers that more upbeat than You Belong With Me. Long Live is also a newer song that's upbeat. Other Side of the Door and Crazier are both more upbeat than YBWM as well. |
