Ok, I'll be the second to say it. I like the song. It has a crummy subject and bad lyrics, but I've listened to it enough to where it's become catchy.

Obviously the song sucks and doesn't reflect Taylor's ability. She had to put something out there that can go on the radio, that sells to the demographic she's looking to sell to. She wasn't thinking about you nor I when she put this out there. This isn't totally without precedent, though.
I'm not a big Mine guy. It's not bad, but it's easily in the bottom half if you rank the Speak Now songs. However, it has those qualities that get on the radio, that sell. That's why it was the first single off of her last album. She got on the radio, then we saw songs like Back to December, Sparks Fly, and Ours come out, (after the album was released, by the way) the latter two of which are two of my favorite Swift songs from any album.
Bottom line is, don't get too too worried about Never Ever being a sign of things to come with Red. We'll still get some amazing songs, but they come at the price of songs like Never Ever. Unfortunately, not many people want to hear Innocent on the radio, which is a shame. _________________

I like it too. Been listening to way too much country at work. Bolded is my favorite part of the song. Come at me bro _________________

The song has grown on me.
But Oct. 22 is going to be a great day for me, I have this album and then Kendrick's.
I just love Taylor too much to not love her stuff. _________________

And yet she has a thread on an album months away from release here on FF, which rarely happens. |

Begin Again
This is much closer to vintage Taylor than "WANEGBT" Taylor. _________________

WANEGBT is vintage Taylor tho. That's the problem! She needs to realize she isn't 16 anymore. _________________
