Gabbert looks miles ahead of last year, for you guys. He just looks like a legit QB back there. He must have put in a lot of work this offseason.
Only thing to work on is that he was a bit too quick to get rid of the ball. He probably didn't account for the fact that Suggs was out, and that (unless Haloti Ngata is unblocked) we aren't too big a sacking threat. |

thanks. Hes still.developing... But hes for sure maturing.
Your team looked legit. Flacco plays like that he could finally get the credit he deserves.
We had quite a few starters out, but was a fun game. Goodluck to the ravens man. _________________

And you saw him in his worst preseason game.
But Torrey Smith was good last year, but if he plays anything like he did tonight for the rest of the year..... _________________

Flacco ate us alive. We couldnt handle their up-tempo offense.
Gabbert looked good again in the pocket. I dont care about his stats in pre-season, I just wanna see him continue to progress.
Blackmon is a damn monster. He is going to be an elite WR in this league.
Rashad continued his good play. Displayed his great vision yet again tonight.
As for Robinson, ouch. _________________

The hell is that logic? | the 3rd preseason game is supposed to be the closest thing to a real regular season game, so most likely every team is game planning and doing everything like they would a regular season week.
But the Ravens are a top team and faced them on the road, it's not the end of the world to admit that they're probably a better team than the Jags right now. _________________

I think that meant that they were prepared for this scenario. I wouldn't read too much into it. _________________

Just finished watching the game.
Still missing Monroe and Rackley on the line - Blaine needs more time to allow things to develop down the field. The lack of protection on the edges is really shrinking the field. He still looked very comfortable though, even under consistent pressure.
Man, Blackmon looked good again. Not a whole lot I can say about that one. Speaking of receivers, Torrey Smith looks like the real deal.
Robinson had a couple catchable balls, but was still getting his fair share of attention from the safety. The offensive line giving Blaine more time is key to his game, since he was still running a lot of vertical stuff. He was getting mugged by those corners though.
Jennings definitely looked as usual. Hopefully the shut him down after about a carry next week.
Mincey was dominant again, as were the three primary interior guys. Branch got exposed in the run game a few times, but he really has some pass rush ability. He got the one sack and fumble, but there were a couple other occasions where he and/or Mincey were just a hair away. Those two are going to be fun to watch.
Ross didn't look good and Rashean looked solid for the time he was in there. Safeties look fine. Middleton struggled.
The defense is really missing Daryl. Cox needs to be out there for the opener as well. _________________

When they did the sideline interviews, Mathis said that the defense didn't do much game planning for this game. On the opposite side, it looks like the Ravens did. They weren't trying to get into situational downs, and were running the no-huddle. It looks like they were going in on it. I wouldn't read too much into it, but yes we do need Mathis, Cox and Smith ready for the opener.
Even though it didn't show statistically, Blaine looked good. There were some catchable balls that were drops and a miscommunication. He didn't see Blackmon open in the end zone on a third down. If he does, that's an easy strike. Instead, he went short. He was under quite a bit of pressure, but it didn't phase him. The only time he looked "worried" was when Ngata came in unblocked, but he still did the right thing and ran, rather than cave.
Games like this remind us that we have things to work on still, and we aren't a Super Bowl contender yet. It's still a work in progress, but I still think we have a successful season. _________________
