RB, WR, OL, QB? |
QB. If we get one through a trade, then probably a pass rusher like Jarvis Jones.
Just like Aaron Maybin, your sig has disappeared. _________________

I would like Bray if he didn't remind me of Ryan Leaf. _________________

Yeah I'm not to confident in him either. For me its either trade up for Geno or get a vet for the year. if we go QB _________________

This years QBs do not excite me. I'd wait a year before drafting one. _________________

Only problem is adding a new QB does nothing for us with such a lack of talent on offense. Sanchez is better than this, but I don't have any way of explaining why he's been playing so poorly since the first game.
Sanchez may not be the QB who can take us to the promised land, but the problem is drafting a QB won't make this offense much better and Sanchez's contract is guaranteed next year. They can try to trade him, but unless they had a clear-cut QB your drafting I can't see it.
What the Jets need to do is replenish the offensive talent around the QB, and if Sanchez doesn't cut it next year then you find someone who can. If we land a top 10 pick, I'm trading down and netting as many picks as possible. Every player the Jets draft should be on offense, and the Jets can determine whether they want to go with a RB, WR, or OL based on who ever is available. I would like Lattimore or Hunter because I feel like those are two players you can build offenses around (unfortunately both have torn their ACLs in the past) _________________

What does everyone here think about Vanderbilt RB Zac Stacy? He's probably going to end up going somewhere in rounds 2-4. He could form a great speed and power combo with Powell. _________________

No one as far as the free agents. The only one I wouldn't mind is Jason Campbell , he is a vet who would understand what has to be done. He is not going to win the game with his arm, but not lose it either.
I'm not on the banwagon of getting a QB in round 1 just yet. I want to see how Geno play when he get hit. He play Texas next. It might just happen. He had it to easy last game. But if we were to draft one, it will be Geno or draft someone that will sit for a year, and become the starter in the later rounds. _________________

I only got the chance to watch him once, but he looked pretty good against UGA. AVG 6.9 yards a carry, but only had 12 total carries that game. _________________

Looks like we might have competition. The Chiefs, Raiders, Browns, and Bucs forums are also calling for Geno Smith... _________________

| I doubt the Raiders and Browns would draft a QB in the 1st so soon. The Raiders just spent two firsts on Palmer, and will likely give him a little more time. |

Drafting a QB will do 5 things
1) Start our rebuilding process
2) Allow us to start the development of a potential stud(Geno Smith)
3) New front office, we really need this
4) New coaching staff, we also need this
5) Calm the fan base down- we get mad when we're suppose to be good and then drop the ball. If we go into a rebuilding process we'll have at least 3 drafts picking in the top 10 meaning more talent and a new vision.
The Mark Sanchez era was good but its reached its high point _________________

Raiders will probably depend on position, they switched to the 3-4 so its likely they take a 3-4 player early since they're hard to find and draft a developmental QB in the 2nd. Palmer is okay for now I think
Browns just drafted Weeden and will likely take 2 years to assess if he's their guy he's not but who nows
Chiefs will take Barkley I think
Jaguars they actually like Gabbert and he's been getting better plus they need help in other places. 1st Round QB's usually get 3-4 years to prove their worth
Bills- they're gonna draft in the 15-19 range I think _________________

With this up coming draft class & Free Agency , I'm not ruling out any positions being a 1st round pick . Besides Corner & Center. Its going to take a while to determine our most important whole to fill. _________________
