FWIW, our DEs that are in are barely worse than our starters, and both of them are better pass rushers than our starters. _________________

Good luck this season tylerdouglass and you other Saints fans. It would be sick if we meet in the SB this season. _________________

The good:
-1st team offense looks to be in mid season form
-We survived the 3rd preseason game without any injuries
-Both kickers kicked the ball well tonight. Kubiak is going to have to make a tough decision.
The bad:
-We need to clean up the fumbles.
-Our defense tonight showed why we need Cushing and Watt in the lineup
-backup OL needs improvement. Yates didn't have no time _________________

Bullock will be the kicker, no way we cut a 5th round kicker for no reason _________________

I was only able to watch the first half, but from what I saw, Glover Quin had a great game. _________________

I too only saw the first half. From what I saw:
- Schaub looks ready
- The middle of the D was incredibly soft
- Moore seems to have Jackson's number
- Holliday's kick return where he tried to plow the kicker into the ground got a chuckle out of me.
- Why does there seem to be such bad blood between the two teams?
- I don't like Jimmy Graham haha _________________ "You may all go to Hell, and I will go to Texas."

Schaub looked terrific. That is the most important piece that needed to look good during the preseason and he hasn't disappointed. He looks hungrier to me than past years and his velocity on his passes look better.
Some say our D looked a lil shaky but I disagree. The only target that really destroyed us was Graham. I don't know how in the hell defenses are supposed to cover this guy. But despite that we stayed in our basic packages the whole game and I don't remember any exotic blitzes. Which is good because we need to unleash all of Wade's madness Sept9. All in all there isn't a defense that can stop this offense, the key is to maintain them to some field goals and force turnovers and we did that. If we did not have as many turnovers as we did I believe the game wouldn't of been that close. _________________

Also, Matt Schaub is an elite quarterback. It's the small nuances of the game that if you don't pay attention to you'll take for granted. It's these same things that average quarterbacks can't do that has them continuing in mediocrity (ball placement, velocity, using eyes, etc.) _________________

Bullock can't reach the end zone on kickoffs, a real downer. Don't be surprised if Graham gets the job.
Also our punter is no better than your usual high school punter. |

I think the second Hartmann's suspension is up we'll re-sign him. Marciano called him the best kickoff guy he's ever seen. Once we get Hartmann and Bullock sorted out, the important parts of our special teams unit won't be an issue for years. _________________ Welcome to Houston, DeAndre Hopkins! |

Garrett Graham and Jimmy Graham both played really well last night. I was impressed by our offense early on. With all these weapons, Schaub is gonna tear people apart. _________________
