Smith is out leaving LaFell to try and beat Revis (not happening) and whomever after him to try and beat Cromartie and Wilson, one a very good corner and another solid one. NYJ is unloading on some blitzes and Revis said they gameplanned for this game. Considering the circumstances, not surprised we haven't played as well as they usually do. Plus, we've looked pretty vanilla in our playcalling, mainly due to the absence of Smith.
Newton still has issues throwing the ball high (can make a perfect throw then just one goes high on him) but I'm not worried about this offense. Just too many playmakers. Hopefully though our running game unlike in the past doesn't start off slow. It seems like they don't get hot until around the 5th game or so. |

| Offense needs Steve Smith. D looks ok right now. Good goal line stop after the fumble by Cam. Happy to see TD out there making plays. Coples looks legit playing on the interior DL. No wonder the Panthers interviewed him so much, but Kuechly was the right pick. |

Let's remember, we don't really game plan for preseason games. We just run plays with no real point of attack or defensive exploit.

Actually, I watched Panthers Huddle and an interview with Rivera where he said they were "game planing" for this game. Check out the video's on the Panthers website. |

I tip my hat to Kuechly. You guys have an absolute star there.
You guys will be fine this year. Atlanta and Saints will be tough but you guys can beat both those teams. I pledge "consistency" and thats all it takes. You got talent. Goodluck
