Bill Belichick has a connection to Urban Meyer, which might of something to do with this signing... the Olympic sprinter might replace RB Danny Woodhead on the roster as a returner [Woodhead struggled with the rule] and also contribute on the passing game out of the backfield.

I'm excited about this signing, not only explosive return man but if he turns out to be a capable pass protector after a season of working on his technique, we would have a very dangerous 3rd down back.

Admittedly I know very little about him. I heard he was great against scrub teams and struggled against other powerhouse SEC teams. What's the report on him? What's his role here?

If he makes the team because of his return skills the woodhead or bolden is probably gone

Anything that helps the return game is a plus.

Signing prob has something to do with that. Hope Ridley isn't to banged up.

The signing has nothing to do with it, two competently different players who will contribute in two different roles... the Patriots reportedly been in contact with him from before the Olympics.

I'm a big fan of anything that means Woodhead/Jules don't return kicks anymore.

So that likely means either Bolden or Woodhead's roster spot is in trouble.

At an UDFA 1st year salary, it shouldn't be less than 1m. I think.
