Stosur has lost 7 match points. Will be interesting to see if she can close this one. _________________

Unlucky Laura. Great Open for her.
As for Murray, he normally handles boring serve-bots like Raonic with ease, but the way he's played so far, it might not be so straightforward. _________________

I got a noob question for the tennis buffs. Can Serena claim to be the best ever? Seems like a lot of tennis players flame out fairly quick, but she's still going strong. Or were there players in the past who are far superior, in terms of accomplishments and/or skills? _________________ Equal Opportunity Hater

Graf, Evert, Court and Navratilova easily, might be forgetting names as well. _________________

Skill wise she is undeniably the best.
Accomplishments you have Graf, Martina, and could include Evert and Court as well to have more. Part of that is because they truly dedicated themselves to playing and being the best. Throughout the middle of her career she really didn't care as much.
Can she claim it? Yes. It is undisputable? Not by a long shot. _________________

Vinci dominated Radwanska. Leads Serena to an easy draw to the finals. _________________

Murray eating another servebot for lunch.
Raonic played pretty well, but there was just nothing he could do. _________________

They need to do more than a roof.
The ground can't sustain the extra weight. They fist need to rip out all the concrete of the stadium and make it out of a lighter material. They are in the process of planning and logistics. _________________

It is going to cost so much freaking money to put a roof over Arthur Ashe Stadium. They might as well just start from scratch or just forget the roof. _________________

Does the US Open even suffer from rain delays often? I can't remember many major interruptions of play at the event in recent years, whereas at Wimbledon it was a regular occurrence for years, hence the far greater need for a roof.
Seems to me, with the addition of the extra costs required to do it (ground can't handle the weight, and the sheer size of the Ashe arena) it wouldn't be worth the time and money required. Maybe I'm wrong. _________________

Pretty sure the final for the men has played on Monday for the last four years due to rain.
Thought that they're renovating the complex soon? _________________
