The O-Line is looking like it will be the crutch of the team. Granted we don't have Wells and Smith in there but we won't go far without good blocking.
The D-Line looked greatso far. JL just over pursued on the TD. _________________

We need Wells in there really fast, Turner is whiffing all over.
They might be practicing better, but Ojinaka and Richardson should not be in the field. You can visibly see Dahl's frustration with Richardson, atleast Smith had the physical tools to make up for some of the mental mistakes.
And out of shape or not, its clear we need Rok in there to run block |
So many unblocked men, just freely wrecking shop at the los and in our backfield. I think the offense can be average to above average if we can get that o line healthy, and get their awareness on point. _________________

Love that strech play behind Smith, he is so good at getting out in space and run blocking, Its when it gets cluttered inside that he has problems.
Love Brian Quicks run blocking as a WR
That sack was bad. Smith didnt kick out after helping inside, But mulligan didnt even chip on the DE so Smith wouldnt have had a chance. Also looked like some miscommunication, Smith shouldnt engage if Mulligan is going out for a route at all, even as a safety valve |

most of us here would have jitters in our very first NFL game. Either way I prefer that he get it out now, rather than be a preseason hall of gamer like Gibson. Also our d line just looks vicious. _________________

He is showing all the things you are looking for, great burst, good vision, and hitting holes. He just needs the game to slow down, as Marshall has been saying the whole time.
You just saw the skill/breaking speed of Janoris, on most QBs thats a Pick-6 |

Perfect throw by Luck. Gotta give credit, he's looking good.
D-line is looking pretty good too. Just need the O-line to step up and stop looking like they did last year. _________________

Craig Dahl looks soo bad, Nowhere to be seen untill he gets burt. Has no speed to be making that play.
Mikell looks slower out there as well, no closing speed.
Love seeing Murphy in there at Safety, something I said and wanted 2 years ago. With his coverage ability, and willingness to play the run, I could see him taking over at FS sometime this year. (really want Stewart/Murphy safety combo) |

If that was Sam throwing it, Givens has an easy 6 |

I hope its just a year full of rust, but we need Ovie to be getting off better. Im gonna give him a pass today because its his first game in like over a year.
Its so hard to run in the Redzone if you dont have a dominant line, especially if they are going to stack the box against you anyway. |
