Hopefully it's just a scope. I know people aren't as bullish on him as we were after his rookie year, but the defense is clearly better when he's in there versus Coleman or Jones. _________________

Absolutely. He would be so much better with someone decent next to him, in my opinion. _________________ Football is love, love is life. |

Dr. James Andrews is usually not a good sign. Will hope for the best but the fact it was quiet and done a little sneaky makes me think it's probably a slightly bigger issue than expected.
Schwartz says he is week to week, not day to day. Dosnt sound good. _________________

Unfortunately I don't think you mean DPOY Bob Sanders. It's so frustrating that he can't stay healthy. _________________

Didn't Andrews do the scope on Stanton's knee that landed him on IR as a rookie? That surgery wasn't serious at all and he could have played if not for the fact that JT O'Sullivan was clearly too good for Martz to cut.
Edit - Yep he did.

If it's a scope then Delmas might miss a game or two, but it shouldn't be a season-ending deal. _________________

We are going to struggle big time this year in the secondary especially if Delmas misses signifcant time, I think that goes without saying. Lets just hope the front 7 can do their part and the offense can stay hot all season. |

Via radio;
Delmas had a scope and hopes to be back in time for game 1 of regular season. _________________

Well, that's pretty much the best-case scenario when it comes to knee surgery. It usually takes about a month, and we're one month and one day away from the opener. _________________

Hopefully we dont rush him back either, as much as I want him ready for week 1 and the fact he is desperately needed in our secondary, I dont want him to play until he is 100%, hate it to be reagravated and keep him out longer, even if its only soreness...
Hopefully as talented as the Lions are we arent constantly being undone by a poor secondary _________________

| If Chris Greenwood comes off PuP maybe he can get some reps at Safety. It may not be ideal but he has more than enough height, length and speed to be a situational safety. |

Well Delmas has never been able to stay fully healthy so hopefully this procedure helps him avoid injury during the season.
Now would be a good time for Spievey to finally get his act together and be a solid player for us. _________________
