He proved he could run our offense with tremendous efficiency, even if he would fly a pass here or there; or throw a few into the dirt. |
It's his short range accuracy early in games. Once he settles in and calms down he's just fine.
It absolutely drives me nuts when he throws a ball in a RB's feet. Those passes have come close to costing me a television on more than one occasion. _________________

I believe Gunther released a statement this offseason he is going to get creative with our defensive front... I think Suh will acquire 11 sacks, Fairly 6, Avril 5 (i foresee a soft tissue injury affecting him throughout the season due to lost TC time), Young will pick up the slack with 9 of his own, and Delmas will acquire 4 _________________

Am I the only one that sees a down year for Avril? Players historically have down seasons after missing parts of tc, and I don't foresee nearly as many strip sacks this season, as that stat seems to be hit-and-miss _________________

I don't think he will maintain the strip sack total but sacks he can _________________

Abril missed a week. He is in before the first preseason game and has plenty of time to get into the swing of things. He has been working out daily in Detroit so it's not like he was just sitting around. The guys who seem to struggle when missing camp are rookies or guys who show up a week or two before the season starts. If Avril has a down year, I don't think I would blame any of it on training camp missed. _________________

Didn't he have 5 strip sacks and 11 total last year? If he doesn't maintain strip sacks, his total sacks will surely drop and a 7-8 sack season would surely be considered a down year for him. Unless of course you think he will acquire more traditional sacks.
I think that is.actually best case scenario for the Lions, it will allow us to sign him to a more reasonable price next offseason _________________

Good point, I was thinking of CJ1K last year as a prime example but IIRC he missed multiple weeks _________________
