I put zero stock in what I see in the first depth chart. After the first/second preseason game we'll have a better idea. _________________

Yeah, I know. Thats why it surprised me that Mays has been starting in our nickle package. Swap him for Mohamed and that might be a nice group with WW. |
Mohamed was very consistant for Cal I used to watch him play. Since I live in California I watch Cal and Stanford games. He should be able to take over Mays spot if he actually breaks out of that shell |
How was he in coverage? |

The opinion on him for the draft was that his strength was pass coverage.
(Trivia: Mohamed gets his family name from his Pakistani grandfather.) |

I hope this Derek Wolfe crap at DE isn't the same dumb decision that Oakland made with Lamar Houston. _________________

He has been doing great on both the inside and outside. Right now they have him listed at DE, but he is also getting time at DT during various situations. He is also a part of the nickel defense at DE (we are primarily running a 3-3-5) and will be crucial to our 3rd down defense's success.
I do believe however that he will swing to DT as he matures and becomes a more well-rounded player (especially when/if he becomes solid against the run).
I've been to training camp this year and the Broncos scrimmage, so I've seen first hand that Derek Wolfe is extremely versatile as a pass rusher and should be utilized at both DE and DT, for the time being. |

If Derek Wolfe can turn into Cullen Jenkins (4-3 base DE, played DT in sub packages) then I would consider the pick a home run. _________________ 20 TIMES, 20 TIMES MAN UNITTTTTEEDDD

As if the Raiders run defense isn't bad enough already. _________________ Stop slobbering over Brian Dawkins |

| Not a peep about Julius Thomas so far. Saw him listed as 4th on the depth chart. Is he a candidate to be cut? |

He's been virtually non-existent at camp. So sad, he has so much talent. _________________ big_palooka:

Why is this trivia relevant? If his name was Adams would you have posted a trivia letting us know he got it from his British grand father. #justsayin |

Unfortunate. Seems I might be wrong about Green being the odd man out. I really thought Julius was going to be the steal of the draft. |

Pretty sure Thomas has been slowed down by that ankle injury of his. Does he play Special Teams at all? I really don't know how good he was on Coverage units last year. _________________ 20 TIMES, 20 TIMES MAN UNITTTTTEEDDD

| Is he still eligible for the practice squad? Thomas would probably not get through the waiver wire. |

Doubt it. He dressed a fair few times last year I think, and you are right - I think some team would be willing to keep him as their 3rd TE. _________________ 20 TIMES, 20 TIMES MAN UNITTTTTEEDDD
