| Quote: | Report: Terrell Owens is en route to Seattle
Dave "Softy" Mahler of KJR 950 Seattle reports that free agent Terrell Owens is en route to Seattle for a visit with the Seahawks.
Mahler broke the news when Seattle signed Braylon Edwards last week, so he appears to be on top of things in the Great Northwest. The Seahawks recently swapped out Antonio Bryant for Edwards, and apparently aren't done looking at wide receivers the rest of the league has left for dead. Owens, who turns 39 in December, hasn't played since the 2010 season with Cincinnati. He caught 72 balls for 983 yards and nine touchdowns that year, outplaying Chad Ochocinco.

I really hope we put him right back on that plane and send him home. We don't need that circus torpedoing our season. _________________ L.O.B.- D!CK, BOOM BOOM, ET, BB. |

I'm pretty surprised by this - how many TE/WRs are we going to carry? Plus I was under the impression that we are going to be a running team - how are we going to get enough touches for everybody and keep people happy?
I would think that if we sign TO, only he or Braylon will end up making the team.
I also think there might be a chance that Sidney Rice isn't going to be healthy and the team didn't want to trust the young guys to be the 1/2 receivers.
I'm all for bringing guys in to work out but I don't get too excited about the prospect of signing washed up marquee names like TO and Antonio Bryant. I'd rather guys be scouting the waiver wire hoping to make an impact pickup. I don't think TO has the seperation anymore nor do I think he has the drive to be an effective NFL player. I know he needs the money to pay child support but I can't see any other motivation to come to Seattle. |

he's not what he once was that's an absolute certainty, but why not let him try out a la antonio bryant, if he doesn't make the cut, so be it
can't really go wrong with letting him try out, best case scenario we get some cover from an experienced wr who's entertaining + a pretty decent marketing draw (he'll sell jerseys, plain and simple) |

Personally, I like the move. If we just do what we did with Bryant, I dont see any harm in it. _________________ "Trying is the first step towards failure"

| No washed up ex-divas here, thank you. This guy really is a freak athlete and could probably still put up 60-70 balls and 600-800 yards at the age of 38. However that being said he is the last person I would want in my locker room. He is a pain. We already have one old receiver that is taking up a roster spot at WR (and he is still ten years younger then TO) . I really like our young talent at wide out and would rather fill those spots with younger players. Bringing TO here makes no sense to me. |

If someone says, "I'm going to kick you in the nuts, or punch you in the nuts", There isn't any 'positive reaction' to that, is there? _________________ Adopt-a-Hawk
