I'm pretty excited about this game. It's like getting two draft classes in one since Leshoure and Fairley are getting some action to go with this years class. A lot of guys I am interested in seeing, mainly the young CBs and LBs. also very excited to see Titus with more experience and confidence.
At some point in the season, we could be seeing four first time starters:
Fairly
Leshoure
Reiff
Young

With Bently and Broyles making noise as well. The pre-season could set the stage for these youngsters, that is exciting.

Yup, I know people don't like the thought of a 3rd rounder starting at CB but I really think he is the most talented guy there. If he picks up the defense Bentley will start over Alphonso sooner than later.

I sure hope so. The Lions could use a break in the secondary.

I really want to see if Patrick Edwards can get separation and keep hold of the ball.

I think Everette Brown has a bigger impact this game then Willie Young. I like Young but think Brown may surprise

I am sure both will be great because it is just the system anyhow.

How about you keep this in the other thread. We don't need to see it everywhere.

Avoided that mess for sure.

That thread went down the toilet.

So back to the game.

Reading that supplemental pick WR for Cleveland is slated for slot and Cribbs going back to special teams role only.

Do not kick to Cribbs

It's preseason, might as well just to see what your special teams are made of.

I'm excited to see if Bell gets some caries, and how well he does. Didn't talk to him personally, but he worked out with us this summer.

I am little dilusional but I hope we keep him. Laughing

Honorable mentions:

Donte Green
Nick Fairley (healthy)
Riley Reiff
Lo-Jack
Tahir Whitehead

And when he comes back from injury, I can't wait to see Chris Greenwood.

I hear Avril was planning to return to camp.shortly after his sons first birthday which I believe is Friday. So he may be back for this game but likely won't take many snaps.

I agree, i think this is Cliff's last season in a Lions uniform unless he is traded before the season starts. We have multiple guys IMO that can put up his production including Willie Young and Lawrence Jackson. They drafted Ronnell Lewis who they are now starting to work into the mix along with everette brown! The only thing that will keep Avril a Lion is if KVB is done after this year.
