By the time you are done with it, if its anything like the military, you will catch yourself walking in time with people around you. It was kinda funny and kinda obnoxious. Like 4 of us Joes would go to the mall and we would realize we were all walking in time like a bunch of idjits. We would be like, "Stop it!"

I still catch myself walking in cadence and I haven't marched in formation in over 4 years.

I used to yell at retards walking in formation in downtown Charleston.

Being in Port is so boring at work. I don't want to go back out to sea though haha.

Down to 5 months left in the Army, I had the sudden thought of re-enlisting. And then I went to work today Laughing.

I have a MG range Monday, I have the 249. I despise it, I want my 240 back Laughing. It's probably going to be the last range I go to so hopefully its not like all the other ranges Iv been to while in this company that seem to be ran by day 0 privates.

Do any of you military folk brag about being military in civilian life? If so... I hate you.

I'm partners at work with a guy that's in the Guard, and he brags to everybody about it. I can't stand him!!! He was the type to get bullied in high school, so he feels like he has to let everybody know that he is military. He never lets it go. Would it be wrong of me to just punch him in the temple?

please punch him in the face. from an active duty infantryman, he deserves it. Nobody shoujld brag, I mean, you might tell the occassionally, tactically placed war story, but bragging? nahh brahh. Definitely not from a guardsman too......he is in the guartd like 2 weeks out of the year. yaaa, its like, rent a cop level.

Started training on the SEP Tank today. First time Iv been on a tank in 2 1/2 years. Im so lost its not even funny. I don't remember most of the components and acronyms from AIT and to add to it there is new components and acronyms that I have to learn.

Im not even sure why im in the class in all honesty as by the time our tanks arrive im going to be going through all my appointments and such to seperate from the army. I don't mind though, atleast ill learn something about my MOS before I get out. Laughing

I used an online calculator, so hopefully it was right. Only 10 years and 9 months until I can retire. Can't wait.

Is it bad that I use retirement as my daily motivation to go to work in the Army?

Congrats on 6100... Hopefully by that time I'm married to wife #2.

I just learned more about schematics in the last 2.5 hours then I did in my 3+ months of AIT. Aka my brain is fried to a crisp.

Biggest PFT of my life on Friday. It could decide whether I get back into the Marines or not Pray I gotta go in there and physically blow their doors off.

Security Forces is fun sometimes, and then there are days like Today when I found myself counting everything I could find. Buttons on the ABU's. Pieces of my M4. Joking with some of the guys I know when they come through the gate.

Alas, I still love it.
