| Awesome news. Apparently they are close to signing Laurinaitis to a multi-year deal as well. |

No Brainer by the rams, he needs to spend his career in STL (I hope not).
Still one of the most underrated guys around. One of the league's true Blue-Collar players _________________

Fantastic. He deserves Julius Peppers type of contract, and that's likely what he's getting. _________________

Quite possibly the best news of the off season. And we've had a good off season.
Lock up JL55 now. _________________

I'm also impressed Snead was able to lock him up for 4 years, instead of something ridiculous that could hurt the franchise long-term like a 6 or 8 year deal. Mad props, love this deal no matter what the numbers are. _________________

Nah, he doesn't. But he does deserve good money. _________________

Okay, let me rephrase. He would get that type of money on the open market. Someone would break the bank for a guy that gets after the QB on a week to week basis. _________________

This is the Cherry on Top of what has been nothing short of a Great offseason.
Ive said for a long time now, we needed to get one of these two signed, and that was paramount to this offseason. We needed it to happen so we still had the Franchise Tag in our back pocket for the other one if it came to that.
I thought it would be tougher to get Long signed as a DE than JL as a LB, but to get him on a 4 year deal is pretty impressive. I hope it doesnt matter and he is still worth it and with us that we re-sign him again, but this is so huge.
If it is true that JL's contract is close behind, then that will be some extra sprinkles on this sundae of an offseason, but not nearly as big as getting the first one of them signed an it being Chris Long. |

I have a friend who is a fan of the seachickens. He proposed a bet that their defense will be better than ours. The bet is 50 bucks should i take it?? _________________

Great news to hear that Long was locked-up, especially to get it relatively early on in the process...
I'm hoping these rumors of JL following soon are true... _________________
