Minority owner of the Steelers. WAS anyway.
Omar Khan is the one Im most worried about, but not much.
The Steelers are a special organization, and I dont think anyone will leave for the Browns under new ownership unless its an offer they cant refuse. He may get some of our less important people, but no one that will be hard to replace IMO. _________________

Honestly I hope the deal goes through as expected. This "rivalry" has been about as exciting watching snails race ever since the 80's. There's been no excitement outside of a rare glimps since the Browns return.
I've long stated that I thought Randy Lerner was amongst the worst owners in the league and perhaps in the bottom three.
Hopefully, Haslam doesn't "raid the cupboard"! If he does I hope it sparks some type of competetiveness between these two franchises.
My two cents. _________________

From what I've seen seen, this Haslam only became a Steelers "fan" when he bought a stake in the team.
That said, the Steelers have really owned the Browns for decades with no end in sight. _________________

Ehhh. In fairness the Browns are technically an expansion team. Sure its been a while but its proven tough to start from scratch. _________________ Stay low boys.... keep those feet moving!

While true, all recent expansions teams (the Jags and Panthers before 1999, the Texans in 2002) have had more success than the new Browns.
That said, I'd much rather see the Browns be a competitive team than the Ravens or Bengals. _________________

Agreed, as much as it would be tougher for us the Browns and their fans are enjoyable rivalry. You can disrespect them all you want but their loyalty is strong.
Although they had our numbers in the 80's it was always exciting and the early 90's were extremely competetive, similar to how we get up for the Ravens. _________________

Does he raid our cupboard in any way? If so any likely candidates?
I think Holmgren is the first one gone, perhaps immediately. If not, definitely at the end of the season. |
maybe wallace? I never am concerned with the browns, but wait and see. That franchise has been jinxed for quite a while, holmgren has been terrible but it is too late to change anything now. then again it is the browns and they just have a curse. Armchair experts wouldn't make the switch at this time would they?
This new owner to be might think a few #1picks would be good for wallace Then if the browns finish last (tough schedule - I am not sure) , maybe 2 secound round picks.
Arians is already gone though |
