I dont mind letting Rosenfels go for MBT, but based on this preseason, if Webb has to see the field, im concerned. Rosenfels made better throws than him without question.
Perhaps MBT will get waived and put on the PS and MN will only carry 2 QBs. |

Sage getting cut isn't that surprising giving the direction the Vikings took under Spielman. It's all youth. And they probably feared that MBT wouldn't make it to the PS squad seeing how some backup QB's were cut today.
I like the move. Not much is lost, and we keep a guy with a big arm and some potential. i didn't see the last pre-season game, but MBT showed what he got, didn't he?
It's also a money move, I guess. |

he is practice squad eligible, hopefully they can get him on there. he might be nice insurance in case Adrian or Toby get hurt. |

MBT showed a strong arm and brutal accuracy.
Not sure I agree with Vikingsrule on Webb, who played pretty well outside of the preseason opener. Clearly is the #2 QB, also showed that he could win games as a starter with this team. _________________

I also think Chris Carr could be a surprise cut. |

Larry Dean and Allen Reisner are just a few names i wouldnt be surprised if they were cut tomorrow. After the Vikings find some help on the waiver wire for (WR, OL, possibly DT) _________________

I would have preferred to keep Todman as the #3 and use Asiata as the upback. That way you keep two good looking guys, and you don't have to keep Sherels as a returner.
Also, not sure if both Felton and Ellison are necessary if we kept Reisner. _________________

Yea my thoughts exactly.
I would have left Felton go.
Maybe he still could go, based on if we pick up anyone from the wire _________________

Very possible. I do agree, MN should be in the market for OT, DT and WR help. Dean, Reisner and Felton would seem like the most likely to be released to make room for anyone. Same goes for Stephen Burton if MN signs another WR. |
