"As a father and husband, I cannot imagine the pain and suffering the victims are going through," Smith, a five-time Pro Bowl pick, said in a statement. "My family's hearts and prayers are extended to theirs, and I hope this contribution might assist in paying some of the medical bills that will help allow these families to move forward in this tragic circumstance."
Smitty never seems to amaze me. He's a great player and one hell of a human being!

I hated when people were calling him a punk due to the Ken Lucas' incident. Dude is just a passionate family man.

He did "steal" Lucas and Anthony Bright back in the day, though. |

I will not hold that against Smitty. Look at what he has done for our community and others. He has paid his dues. Smitty is 1st class.
