That's kinda what I was wondering.

Accurate birth records are not always readily available in some parts of Africa, just curious as to the legitimacy.

no idea

Both games I watched he and Werner were non existent. I have to watch more to talk about him fairly.

My updated DE rankings. New comer Scott Crichton. I have been impressed with him all year but up until now I never believed he would enter. He just keeps getting better and with a weak DE class he may make the jump early so I had to add him.

I dropped a few more such as Stansly Mopango who clearly doesn't have what it takes for the NFL at least this year. He needs another year to even think about getting drafted. I also dropped Walter Stewart from my rankings as he has retired from football due to a spinal condition.

Kam what do you know about Tyler Scott d.e. Northwestern? He leads the big ten with 7 sacks. There is a nice article about him on Draft Daddy's blog. He has the right size. I really don't know much about him.

There is a dark horse candidate to add.

47 Ezekiel Ansah, LB
Brigham Young Cougars
Height/Weight: 6-5/270
Birthplace: Accra, Gahna
Team: Brigham Young Cougars
Class: Senior

The kid is VERY raw but he is extremely athletically gifted.

With having Frostee Rucker we could draft a def. end like Ansah and play him on passing downs. Than eventually teach him to sstart full time.

I'm sorry I have not watched him. I started the pre season with 75 to watch and took it down from there. It is kind of hard to watch everyone as much as most posters on here would lead you to believe. Hell I have 33 listed and still haven't really got a good look at 5-8 of them.

If no one else is on the next Northwestern game I'll give him a look for sure.

I have Jordan rated as a LB only due to his coverage skills as that is a large part of his game. IMO said skills would be wasted on a RDE.

Kam what do you know about Tyler Scott d.e. Northwestern? He leads the big ten with 7 sacks. There is a nice article about him on Draft Daddy's blog. He has the right size. I really don't know much about him.

Thanks. He might be somebody we might be of interest 3rd round or lower.

Barkevious Mingo finally had an impressive game this saturday and was consistantly beating his man. I'm debating moving him up because it was only 1 game. Why hasn't he showed up before this game? He obviously has athletic ability most do not possess, however, he is not producing with said talent.

Damontre Moore seems to be getting after it week in and week out and can no long be considered a fluke or product of a system. He is beating his man week in and week out play after play. He is more consistant and a better athlete than Sam Montgomery so to me I have to have Moore make the jump to #2. Sam Montgomery is a more complete DE as he is a stout run defender but Moore gets after the passer better and in the NFL its all about knocking down the QB.

1. Dion Jordan DE Oregon
-If you don't think he has an impact on the game then you clearly didn't watch this defense before he went down against USC and then what they looked like after he went down and then how they continued into this week against Californis without Jordan.

2. Damontre Moore DE Texas A&M
-Bringing it every game. Has potential to be a 12-15 sack guy in the NFL

3. Sam Montgomery DE LSU
-One of the more complete DEs in the draft can stop the run and get to the QB with athletic ability.

4. Scott Crichton DE Oregon State
-You are missing one heck of a football player if you haven't watched him yet. He is a powerful man for only 260 and gets after the QB. Good chance he doesn't come out but is here until he doesn't.

5. Bjoern Werner DE Florida State
-Another highly rated guy by the guys at BSPN who is under performing. Watching the VaTech game all they every talked about was how Logan Thomas had to deal with Werner but Werner didn't have much of an impact. His running mate Tank Carradine has been more impactful since FSU moved up to D1 opponents.

6. Alex Okafor DE Texas
-Steady performer with a high floor. He will give you reliable performance week in and week out. He may never be a big time splash player but he won't flame out either.

7. Datone Jones DE UCLA
-He is just a man amoung boys out there. Very powerful player who lives in the backfield. He may not have the sack numbers or elite athetic ability to rack up double digit sacks but he will be an elite run defender in the NFL.

8. Ezekiel Ansah DE BYU
-Athletic speciman who has really come on this year and starting producing big time numbers. I would be weary of his true age and how much of his production comes from teams trying to take away Kyle Van Noy.

9. Tank Carradine DE Florida State
-Had a very good outing against VaTech. Is a long body with multiple pass rushing moves. He is athletic enough and flexible to turn the corner and get to the QB on a regular basis.

10. Barkevious Mingo DE LSU
-Moving up 3 spots to get back into the top 10 because he finally showed something saturday. Also the 3 guys he passed have no shown anything in weeks. Corey Lemonier suddenly cannot buy a QB pressure, Jackson Jeffcoat is injured and Kareem Martin is often out of position(only watched 2 games so far).

I don't think any of these guys are worth a top 5 pick.

What do you think about the potential 3rd and 4th round guys?

Aside from Travis Long I think it would be a wasted pick. If Gholston or Lemonier fall to the 3rd then I would take a chance on upside, however, the DE talent this year seems to be really week.

Also you are right none of these DEs are Top 5 worthy, but honestly not a single player in this draft is a Top 5 prospect in any ordinary draft.

In the 3rd there are no CBs i like either, but there are some nice FS prospects....

Of course it's still really early, haha.

A trade down scenario where the browns pick up extra picks and then use the 1st on the kid from Oregon might be interesting though.
