I also firmly believe he is going to fall because I don't believe he is even as tall as listed, maybe even sub 5'8. The guy, however, can ball out and will have a Troy P like impact on whatever defense he lands. I'm going to hold out hope we can steal him this draft. I don't even care what the rest of the draft looks like next year as long as T-Rich, Gordon, Little, Weeden and JMJ pan out and we land Mathieu.
I do really like the LSU duo and Jackson Jeffcoat if we do the RE thing. Can't go wrong with a force pass rushing DE either.
See everyone opening Sunday maybe even squeeze in some time on the board during one of the preseason games. Later. |
I'm really hoping that we get tyrann, I feel he is a special player, he will get picked on through the draft process due to his height and all but at the end of the day he is a play maker...... Time will tell about him and our team needs for next year, right now- - - what is skrine and Frostee or benard go off.... What if our WR core comes out flat??? Hard to say right now.
Out of the DE's on here I like Horton from USC, I think he has a great year this season . |
To me the honey badger is a future nickel back in the NFl due to the size of the WR's in the NFL.
As for the Rucker/Bernard combination do you really see that combo being specifically game planned against like offensive coordinators do against franchise pass rushers like Terrel Suggs, Clay Mathews and Damarcus Ware? I don't but I am more than willing to hear arguments.
But I still hold to my premise a franchise RDE would be transformitive to the Browns defense. |
Second that.
There's too much talent at DE not to get one early. Double digits will go in round 1 and we don't have a 2nd. I don't see how we'd pass on a pass rusher. |

Me ether ditch. I think the biggest point of contention is who the Browns should go after vs who is available.
That is why I made the watch list pretty big to cast a wide net. I figure to try to a stat up date from week to week to track production. _________________ The Dawgpounds new three headed monster!

I would not be shocked if the front office decides to draft all defense in the draft next year. We have a ton of youth and potential on offense.
•Draft Jackson Jeffcoat to fill the RDE spot with our first rounder
•Draft Desmond Trufant with our third round pick to be another CB
•Draft Kenny Tate for depth on the front 7 in the fourth round
•Draft physical projects for the rest of the draft _________________

But Weeden will be 30 next year. We have to draft his replacement. |

IE Who knew who Whitney Mercilus was last year or that he would lead the nation in sacks?
Like I posted earlier in the thread. It's just a watch list. _________________ The Dawgpounds new three headed monster!

Shread was projected to the 34 OLBas well as most of Phillys DE's as well. Point being smallish DE's can function in this version of the 4-3. _________________ The Dawgpounds new three headed monster!

I think a DE with 3-4 OLB size and athletcisim works for us.
We want raw speed around 6'3-6-5 and 255-270 _________________
