Where: Reliant Stadium
Time: 7:00 PM
Channel: ABC 13
^Lestar Jean makes a nice catch against the Panthers
A couple of things I am looking forward to seeing:
-Our offense gets a real test going against one of the best defenses in the NFL.
-Case Keenum getting a ton of reps
-Earl Mitchell as the starting nose tackle since it looks like Shaun Cody will be out for a while.
-The redzone offense and whether or not it is improved

-Starting D playd shut down ball with out Cush against CAR, now insert Cush
-More throws to Devier Posey
-Have Kareem line up against Crabtree or Moss

Kubiak said the starters will play a quarter and a half so we should see a heavy dose of Foster getting at least 10 carries.
I agree, I want to see Posey get more reps at WR in this game. Hopefully he plays part of the 3rd and some of the 4th.

Actually Holliday doesn't. He isn't trying to be this team's 5th option at WR, he is trying to be the return specialist. If he brings the same explosive ability in the return game or more than what Jacoby brought, he is worth a roster spot. When you consider how our offense has totally reloaded with Graham, Martin and Jean as options in the passing game, having Holliday is worth it. Keshawn Martin alone is a better option than we ever had with Jacoby in the passing game. I mean honestly, with Daniels, Casey and Graham, how often do we need to line up with empty 5 WR shotgun formation?????

even if we did go five wide its a guarantee that OD will be in that and more than likely Foster

After watching the little bit off the Dallas v Oakland game. I'm even more impressed with how we looked in our 1st pre-season game and can't wait to see this one.
Also just snagged some mezzanine tickets to the game so I'm even more amped!

Today's Texans Daily made it seem that Kubiak is gonna give Holiday more PT at WR. Hopefully we get to see him get a few reps against the 9ers.

The only use I think we could use him at WR is as a slot receiver and bubble screens. I actually want to see how we utilize him at WR if Kubiak plays him there Saturday.

He could be deadly on crossing patterns and drags along with running the occasional fly route to remove a defender from the play maybe 2 if he ever catches one and the safety has to help out over the top. Also what if Kub has him in a wildcat formation with Martin at QB, Holiday in the Slot with either Tate or Foster at RB  I guy can dream.
Also just got my tickets in today! I'm pumped

I been listening to Kubiaks post-practice interviews and he said "Cody and Jackson" definitely won't play. I'm assuming he means Jerrell Jackson the WR?

Kubiak says that he was most impressed with his other returns. He didn't just have one awesome return and some awful ones. He had one awesome return and a few good ones.

In today's Texans Today Scurfield said Newton will get the start at RT. I know they'll rotate
But all in all going against the 49ers D will be a challenge for the line.
