Great news! Should of been in camp a few days ago but not a huge deal that he missed a few days. _________________

Is it all guaranteed? What about a fifth year option? _________________

The new wage scale has players sign 4 year deals with a 5th year option worth the top 5 salary of players playing that position. For example, if Barron picks up his 5th year option, he'll make the salary of a top 5 safety that year. |

Good, I was getting kind of worried on how long it would take to get him signed. _________________

So it's essentially a 'chise tag. Gotcha. _________________

I have to admit that I was shocked with the pick. I just didn't see it coming. Once the shock wore off though I really got excited about this pick. Barron helps to give this defense an identity. He's a tempo setter.
I can't wait to see him in action. _________________

I can't wait to see him in action. | Can't wait to see him lay the lumber on Cam Newton twice a year. He is by far the biggest hitter on the team (which is sad since he is a rookie) but at least were slowly trying to build a defense. Barron is just an edgy fiery player that we've lacked on the field since Sapp/Lynch days. And those two were known for knocking people out games for their brutality play. |

YES!
And he may be the biggest hitter on the team but I dont think its too sad. I mean, just look at it as Barron just being that good. Lynch was a playmaker for sure. Game changing hits and plays. While the NFL has changes and some of the Lynch type hits would not be allowed now days, I still see Barron lighting opposing players up, legally, week in and week out. _________________

I don't like bumping 5 month old threads, but Barron has been the opposite of a play maker. |
