Shanahan said that defensive end Kentwan Balmer has been reached by phone. Interesting enough, he has done this before. When he played for the 49ers he went missing for 4 days and that's why he was traded to Seattle.

Yeah, he obviously needs therapy. I'm Surprised he hasn't already gotten it, Maybe he has (i dont know)but he needs more.

It could be that he has a sense of entitlement and bails when he isn't getting the reps. It could be a mood disorder. It may be that he does not love the sport.
Easy to speculate because we don't know.

Well sounds like a flake if he does this. I mean, you would think that he would at least ask for a few days off before disappearing.
I don't want to speculate on why he would leave but I'm glad this problem is off the team. We need people who are trying to get on the field not run from it.
